| So since I'm back down in FL right now, I figured I'd reveal the 2 tractors we have to pick up that I always talk about. #1: My grandpas old JD L110... It's got 524 hours on it. He's been the owner since 2003 when he bought it brand new. He parked it in 2019 when the spindles died on it. He hasn't started it in 6 months. We actually pulled it out tonight with his new E130 and tried to start it back up. The air filter was all molded and everything so we took that right on outta there. Filled up 3 tires, oiled the steering, and dropped the deck. I've yet again found the worst spindle I've ever seen. 500 hours on a spindle really puts the smack down on it I must say. The battery is completely DED on it. We have it on an overnight charge. The parking brake lever is stuck and the pedal won't go down. Haven't figured that one out yet but I'm planning the third JD resto with this one if we get it up to NC this year. Hopefully tomorrow we'll get it charged and she should fire right up. #2: Poulan Pro This one was at my cousins house. She finally got married in 2019 and this thing was at the house they rented. So my grandpa contacted the owners and got the thing for free. Has an 18.5 horse briggs, some type of 6 speed, and a 42 inch deck. Motor spins, I think it has compression but couldn't tell due to sticky belts. Oil looked clean though. The tires are all flat and might need a seat but I haven't really got into that one yet. Anyway, thought I'd show these since we'll eventually be picking these up. | |

| I've heard people rag on the Spicers, but I have severely abused my Spicer in my craftsman. Had it do things it wasn't designed for etc. At 15 yrs now, it is finally getting a little harder to shift from R-N-1 but 1-2-3-4-5-6 are still easy. I think it needs new grease or oil. Not sure it's lube. Basically what I am saying, I think they are a pretty good unit. | |

| Yeah IDK what it has but I've seen Craftsmans with spicers and MST's. We might pull it out today and see if we can't get 'er going today too. That'd be nice.
EDIT: HALLELUJAH! A NEW PAGE. I THOUGHT IT WOULD NEVER CHANGE. I AM SO RELEIVED.

| Welp, we put a battery in the JD and fired right up with the starting fluid until it finally primed the fuel pump and it ran like a top just as I expected. Got the clutch free and now it runs and drives fine. So we pulled the battery and went for the Poulan...
First line of attack was the carb. It was shot. We cleaned it up and everything which took at least an hour. The brakes are VERY rusted. Got them apart but I'm not gonna rebuild them till I actually need them. It's all flat here so I don't need them yet. Anyway, it actually has an MST-206. Seems to shift alright. The tank leaks and it's missing the blades and the engagement is kind of stuck but that's fine. The electricals are fine. The wheels seem to hold air for only a little while but that's fine. Anyway, we cleaned the carb and tank and tried to start it. It's only running off the starter fluid. Just not getting enough gas. Best solution, new carb. Simple.

| That poulan would make a good off roader. 206 is pretty tough for how cheap and common they are, and it’s the same frame as a craftsman | |

| Yeah it would. I thought about it and decided that I would if the deck was bad but it looks like it'll only need blades. So I'll probably just fix 'er up and sell 'er since I can probably get 400 for it. I can get craftsman/murray frames for $25 with bodies on them and I can pick up the MST's for $20 so I'll just keep this one together and get rid of it this spring. | |

| Fair enough. If you build an ayp from scratch pieces, I like the tunnel frames with the square fenders (more room underneath) and you could run a factory cast iron front axle, gen 2 steering box, and an 820 will bolt right in. Then the only thing you’ll need is some angle iron bracing over the axle and you’ll have a pretty good tractor using mostly OEM parts | |
