Engine wont start after rain and over night freeze

So i got a new trailer last night and i used the good ol john deere to take it to my back yard it was kinda cold and a pretty bad almost tornado wind and rain storm i was using it in. This morning all that rain was frozen and my ignition was frozen full of water and i got it to turn after chiping away the ice and it tried to turn but it wouldnt turn the motor over then i tried to use my hands to turn the motor over and it wouldnt turn even a tiny bit so its seized and im confused the oil is good and its even a little past full and when i shut the engine off it was normal and the only odd thing is it was puffing a little white smoke which it has since i got it what should i do?

@Budget_gokart 1st pull your spark plug, it's possibly hydro locked (fluid in the cylinder preventing the piston from moving) that's the most likely thing i can think of, it's also possible that the belts have frozen to the pulleys

Im kinve thinking the belts are frozen too so what im gonna go do is wrap a pull rope around the pully on the pully and see if itll turn

So im gonna remove the plug but its hard to get to.so im not doing it right now due to it being so dang cold

That would be my first place to look.

Water could have gotten between the ignition coil and flywheel also, then freezing which would lock the rotating assembly. Best thing to do is just wait till it can warm up to unfreeze anything that is frozen. Maybe put it someplace warm to thaw out. Point being, if you don't really need it now then just wait till it thaws because just trying start it up could break something since the part is frozen and locked. Probably just a tiny spot frozen keep it from starting.

I usually park mine outside year round, in the rain, snow, and sun. These mowers are mostly water proof but a couple sections. I just leave them alone till favorable conditions to start them. You get to knowing which system needs attention to weather proof them with oil, WD40, or grease to get them to work in extreme weather.

Its supposed to be 40°F tommrow so it should thaw out a bit and i might get it started by the aternoon

The john deere is runing good again the ice thawed and it turned so it runs i took it around the block and its ready to go

I think the fly wheel was frozen to the coil from the sounds of ice breaking and the belt was all good but idk it mightve just been a frozen belt im so happy i can drive it again!
