Sure is @Threewheela but I'm hoping to prove you can ditch it and the coil for a standard coil, I have a CV16S and a standard coil for it but I need to elongated the slots before I can actually test it out.

I recently swapped a coil from a courage onto a CV16 to delete the advance box and it runs fine. The one I used was already slotted plenty. I hope to post the whole build on here soon. Going to be a 4x6.

@threewheela is there another way to rewire the whole with out that box and it run with a push button start and a kill switch for both coil if I bought 2 of the signal prong coils for this engine.

I don't see why that wouldn't work. All you would need is a wire to trigger the starter relay and one to ground the coils. Just do some double checking on the shape/style of the coils before ordering to make sure they should fit. The aftermarket ones seem to come in a few different shapes from what I've seen.

@Threewheela that's awesome! Do you remember what model Courage? That would save me the hassle of elongated the slots in the one I have.
This is the coil used on the CV16 to delete the box.

I originally used one from a junk Courage engine and it worked fine so I ordered a new one. Can't remember the exact model engine but I think it was 19hp. Again, maybe I'm wrong about your application but just do some double checking before you order. heck, one coil is only $15. You could just order a second if it works like you want.

Thanks for the tip @Threewheela, I've looked and it looks similar to the one I got (which sits about a 1/4" back from the flywheel) BUT has more meat around the slots to work with and who knows, maybe it's actually spaced closer from the get go!?
