Sweet bike @AllisKidD21 I love vintage dirt bikes! I actually have a 1984 Yamaha IT200 that I bought in pieces 3 years ago and have slowly been building! Here's a a pic of after I unloaded it all from the van and a couple more after I mocked it up (before tearing it back down) to check for completeness (not everything is pictured). I'm actually the first registered owner of it! Lol.
The original engine is too far gone to save but the cases and gears are good spares for the complete engine I scored.
@AllisKidD21 nice bike, in 7th grade I rode a yamaha similar to that but it was a 100cc and was older with dual shocks on the back
Thanks Carl! That bike you had sounds like a RT100. Funny enough I actually had one of those before this one. Great bike to learn on, but it was too small for me really. I love this 175.

@AllisKidD21@Brianator@Crazy_Carl@TheBeal This is why having you guys around is awesome. Helps keep the forum members connected, because you have that similar experiences as them. I grew up very different and didn't get those same experiences and it's hard for me to relate with the other members at that level.
Thank you!
then again... could be the meds talking...

Nice thread of bikes y'all got going here. My sister's working on restoring a Yamaha RT 100 if anybody knows where to find old Yamaha parts please let me know. The alternative is I have to start fabricating stuff and I would like to keep my sanity

To be honest @MightyRaze I only got into tractors, dirtbikes and quads around 2017, I didn't have the opportunity when I was younger so it had to wait until I had my own place and my own space! It's definitely alot of fun but it's also pretty expensive hence the reason alot of my projects are very slow going! Lol.
How about a race quad @AllisKidD21? I'll probably be selling my Suzuki LT250R this coming summer...

I love them old suzuki quads, wish I never sold my lt250r. I do still have my 86 lt230s quadsport that I'm currently tearing the motor apart to send the crank out to get a new rod on it.

@Murraymountain I wouldn't waste my time on another Ryobi if you can help it, they're light duty home owner grade. I have one that I only used for light stuff around the house until my Milwaukee drill died (after 5 years of hard abuse) and I have to say, it's not holding up very well after 1 year of moderate use. That's just my 2 cents!

I would definitely look at other brands but we have like 4 Ryobi chargers and at least 10 batteries so I'm sticking with Ryobi for now. Everything else I have is Ryobi so. The impact on the left was the first one and that one was a beast. So I'm hoping the next one has some of the same genes that one had lol. If not it'll be fine, they aren't too bad on the wallet anyhow.. especially when I split it with my brother.

So, i bought this 318 a few weeks ago. needed a starter for $400. Pulled the engine and replaced the starter. Found the flywheel teeth are smoked on it now. So trying to figure out if i should buy a used flywheel or wait for a used motor to pop up online.
Also a few months ago bough this 93 civic. vtec b16 with a 6262 turbo. Lots of good parts on this car. Link ecu, haltech digital dash, bc coilovers, ect. Going to put forged rods and pistons in soon.

Sweet Civic! Looks like it was done right and not a hack job like a bunch of them are.
I would try to find a flywheel for that 318. Too many people just throw those Onans out to put a Predator or Vanguard in place of it. My brother just bought one for $400 too and it's in pretty good shape. You might try getting on some JD 318-430 enthusiast groups on FB. They usually can hook you up with those hard to come by parts. Just gotta watch out for scammers.

Hey @MightyRaze, I know I've asked this before but I don't remember where the post went. What were the dimensions on those bronze/brass bushings you got for the spindles on Red? I remember you sent me the information on how to get them and I never did but I am actually going to order them this time lol. Could you tell me where to get those and/or what the dimensions were on those please?

1"x.75"x1" If the spindle is not worn out, it should be tight. If the axle tube is worn, it will be loose and you will need to figure out how to take up the slack.
EDIT: I got them at tractor supply. Probably cheaper on Amazon. I've got them at the hardware store too.
