Older Roper 633a's found in Sears Suburban/Roper called for 5qts SAE30 NON-Detergent oil.
Newer AYP/Electrolux found in Craftsman GT's call For 4qts SAE30 NON-Detergent oil.

**I have read the reason for NON-Detergent was to save on the oil seals.  Especially on older tractors.  Detergent oil was found to break down the seals.
