New guy from NC

Hi everyone. Just joining from NC, somewhere between Greensboro and Asheboro. Picked up an old Murray Classic a few days ago and started messing with it. No deck on the mower but that's ok. I kinda wanted to get one to mess around with pulley swapping and to use it just for fun around the neighborhood and maybe offroad a little. Pulled the carb today and the float... doesn't Doesn't float. Full of gas. Went online (amazon) to try to find a float for it and found a new replacement carb for just $16. Wow. Ordered a new idler pulley for it (current one is 100% chewed up) and a drive belt. I'm thinking once I get all of the parts in I've ordered that I'll be able to get it to run down the road. Don't toss that original carb. Sometimes they don't jet those cheap carbs right. I've had to use the new carb to fix the original one several times. Hopefully you got a good one! Sounds like you are on the right path! Feel free to jump over to the projects section and create a new topic for your build! Maybe we can help out where we can, maybe you will show us a new tip!
