briggs high performance 16.5 hp

ive never seen a briggs high performance enginr before. its sitting on a mtd yard king at my work. is it a good engine? because i might talk to them about getting it or buyin it from them

thats a stock engine nothen performance about it lol it would be worth 100 not running 150 if it runs just because it has vari drive

the shroud itself says high perfornance. i know its a stock engine. and i believe the engine runs but the pulleys are messed up and no belts

you would just be buying the engine because that mower is a vari drive setup its not good for offroading because when that double clutch pully gets wet thats it your screwed

I wouldnt ever pay over $50 for an MTD, IMO.

i know about the vari drive. i just want the engine.... thats what the post was about

Ahhh... You've gotta love marketing! "High Performance"? LOL- It's just an I/C series with a cool sticker. Well, it IS a cool sticker isn't it? I also love the ".5" horsepower thing. Neat how you can have a 16hp and a 16.5hp, and yet the engines have the same bore, stroke, and compression ratio eh? LOL

That said, if the engine's in good shape, go for it.
