Pics would help, but it should be pretty straightforward. The V of the belt goes into V pulleys. Any flat pulleys go against the back of the belt.

Here's a manual for a murry select which is supposed to be close to the same thing from what i've read. Page 30 has drive belt pictures and info if it's any help.

It either twists or runs straight. Most likely runs vertically. Play with it till you have it right, is what i do.

I dare say most belt systems are designed by weman (taking something simple and complicating the heck out of it). I just redid the thing to make it simpler and ditch the vari-drive.
