I'm helping my friend build a mower, but a hydro is going in, I never use hydros so I'm just wondering if grease or gear oil is better for it??

Hydro = hydraulic. its got a pump in there. its like hydraulics on a backhoe, a pump spins, gets pressure, and then converts that into gear motion.
