GT6000 Transaxle 139535

Is this Transaxle comparable to a 633A?

I'll assume it a Peerless 2300 seeing it's in Craftsman GT6000 so yes it's an excellent trans, 4 speed and very strong but it's downfall is that reverse is driven off of second gear so if you pulley swap for speed you need to be aware of that.

The 633a with it's 3 speed hi/low making it a 6 speed is, in my opinion the best you'll find

the tag on the transaxle is 139535, i cant seem to find any information on the transaxle.

That number is in the casting yes? Is it a 4 speed with a sideways H pattern? Post some pics, that should help!

If a 3 speed with Hi/Lo like a 633a, yes it is comparable. It's the newer AYP version of the 633a but wider at the above axle mounting points to fit the newer wider frames. That one may even have a disk brake like a 2300 instead of the band brake!

Still a good trans!
