Figured since red had a thread, i'd start one aswell.
My cousin bought it in this condition
Pony's 1977 Ford F150 4x4 20140314_200931_zpso8ybxbja

Paid me to do this
Pony's 1977 Ford F150 4x4 20140421_174555_zpst0thfqbz
I did everything but remove the rear window and spray it by this point.

I told him I wanted the truck bad, he named a price and I bought it shortly after that pic^

he bought it with no engine, but picked up this 351m for it

Which i tore down, new gaskets, and repainted.

Pressure washed

SHOTS FIRED! and the only plastic on the outside of the truck is the rear bumper, cause some dimwhit put on a roll-pan instead of a step bumper. and then theres the interior

I used VHT aluminum paint. I think it looks good. lays down pretty nice for a spray can.

One ting, well two, about regular paint is heat and corrosives like gas and other fluids. It wont last that long, or at least as it does now. Powdercoat is the way to go, or Automotive paint since its formulated against fluids.

this stuff holds up to gas, most hi temp paints are formulated to be resistant to gas and such. however they are not brake fluid proof
