| The motor is in good shape but the top end is blown and it's got good tires it's going to need new front seals good brake pads and routers I painted the tank and took the old scratched sticker off the side pipe has a big dent in it but I sand blasted it and clear coated it to look better replanted the frame because the person before me got a red can of paint and didn't tape anything off and put new brake handles and panted some things here and there I took the top end out and half if the rings are gone and there is cuts in the cylinder from A to B there is no ring it all burned out the pipe thank goodness and c is a junk of piston missing I blacked out the rims with bed liner and recovered the seat and painted the front number plate I wanted to out some updated plastic on it but the radiator wouldn't fit so I'm going to get a full cr85 plastic kit so it will look cool but up todate and everything will fit but more pics comeing when I do more to it | |

| You should be able to find a top end kit somewhere. Try checking ebay and amazon. Top end kits are usually around like 100 bucks or so... I'm not sure. Also I'd personally also leave the older plastics on it. Keeps the "original" look. | |

| I'm a big big fan of two stroke bikes wish I had one, but only 80cc? Wow there are chainsaws bigger than that. And it's water cooled, never would expect that from a 80cc. Awesome bike! | |

your right it is kinda a low cc but when it was still running with only a half blow top end my friend had a 30 foot run up to a 30 foot long double and cleared it and he was 113 pounds so these old 2 strokes are beast

LOTS of 2 stroke engines don't have a radiator and are "fan cooled", Obviously string trimmers and chainsaws don't have a radiator, but high performance 2 cycles used to commonly lack a water cooling system. I've grown up around snowmobiles, two of which were fan cooled. We had a Skidoo mxz 440, zx chassis, went like a bat out of hell, it was fan cooled but it overheated when it was above 35ish degrees and ran on 1 cylinder. I bomb around on a Yamaha Bravo 250 these days because its light and fuel efficient. At 18 hp I wouldn't call it high performance, but come on its only 250cc, from 1983 and was kind of meant to be a "work truck" not a speed demon. Its not too fast (around 50 mph on ice), rides like a dump truck with leafs and shocks upfront, bogey wheels with maybe 2 inches of travel out back. But damn it's fun, and for only having 18 ponies and a track that is worn down to like .5 inch lugs it pulls like a freight train. The little guy almost never gets stuck. They were made from 1982 to 2012, because of their drop dead reliability, give me some gas, oil and some Vicodin (for the back pain) and I'd ride the thing to Washington state and back; it wouldn't give me a lick of trouble. Its gonna be a sad day when the track ***** the bed because nobody makes a 94" track anymore. TIME TO LONG TRACK IT. Lol.

Id rather have a long track anyway, I can get a 121 skid on eBay out of a Polaris or something for about $150, or I could do a factory long track swap. The sled was available with a 136 track. Fastest I've ever been on a sled was 97 mph, it was kinda crazy. I could have pushed it to 100 but the straight away was ending soon so I had to nail the brakes. I might make a thread on it some day, idk though.

| Here is the pics but I finished the rims and in this pic I took the back off the bike to paint it silver Here it is painted silver The silver is so light you can barley tell it's painted but all the frame is going to be silver And this is what my bike is going to look like when done but mine is going to have a black motor | |

| well it all depends on the brand bike, how old it is, because my 1993 cr80 cant be board it has to be drilled out and re sleeved but like a 2008 cr250 can be board so it kinda depends on the bike and with this bike I can boar it to a 110cc but im only going to a 85cc and there charging 250$ for building the cylinder race ready and giving me piston, rings, bearings for those, gaskets everything I need | |
