| Yeah I figured some speck of dirt was preventing the needle from closing all the way. I'll have to see once I get in there I suppose. | Haven't gotten around to tearing the carb on the ol' Briggs apart yet, hoping to go at that this weekend sometime. We had a bunch of snow show up overnight last Friday, but unfortunately I never made it down to the farm to plow some with the B-110 before most of it melted away. But oh well, maybe next year will be a big one for snow. The Case however was on snow duty for about three days at my house: Proud to say she's running like a top with the rebuilt engine and did a great job plowing snow! Sure is nice to have all these tractors. But anyways, I'll get the ol' B-110 going again here shortly! | Thanks Mighty. Yeah I sure do as well. Anyways I got the carb off and cleaned up today: Wasn't too bad but I went about and cleaned it up anyways. Unfortunately it didn't fix the flooding issue though and now it doesn't even want to stay running. I'm gonna pull the carb back off tomrrow, tear it down again, and I'll try adjusting the float tab. Hopefully that fixes it, haha "This'll either wake you up or put you to sleep forever!"- Red Green "Whatever you do you should do right, even if it's something wrong." - Hank Hill - MTD Off-Road Build - Ford LT 110 Off-Road Build - Craftsman GT 6000 Off-Road Build - Sears LT11 Rat Rod Build *2019 Build-Off Winner!* Garden Tractor Collection: Allis B-110 x2, 710, 716, & 410 - Wheel Horse 655, 953 & 500 Special - Case 444 - Bolens Versamatic, G10 & 1668 Diesel Swapped - Cub 106, 124 & 1000/149 Frankentractor - Ford 120, LGT 125 & 145 - White 1650 Yard Boss - Moto Mower 710-100 | |

| I don't think so, it's flooding really bad. I'm thinking it's just an issue with the float. | Haha, well I suppose it does keep things intetesting. I got the carb off and apart for inspection today, and what I found was that the rubber tip on the needle had quite a ridge on it from wear. Luckily Briggs used the same needles in these old engines as the ones in the oppy carbs and the side draft one-piece carbs for the old vertical model 25's, so I was able to put in a much better looking needle. So after re-assembly and some tweaking of the carb, she was running good : Starts and runs fine now, it gets into a fit every once in a while were it seems like it's flooding like crazy, but then it smooths out and runs fine again. That might just be carb adjustment though. Also since we got some snow last night, I was able to finally try 'er out in the snow with the blade! Worked great! I cleared a ton of snow with 'er, it was quite fun and she did a real good job too. The, being it was nice and hot when I was done, I dropped the oil and put some fresh 5w20 in the ol' Briggs. Should be happier with the thinner oil in in, being that it's so cold. I guess I'll just see how she acts for the next little while. Other than the little fit it gets into it's running very well, so we'll just have to see what she does. | Well the ol' Allis is running great as of lately, but I had a bit of an issue with my lights shorting out a little bit ago. I had just un-hooked the wire from the battery for the time being, but I finally got around to completely re-wiring the lights today. Some of the wiring done by a previous owner is sorta sketchy looking, especially these twisted wire ends that are completely exposed: No doubt something like that could cause a short, time for a re-wire! Got it tucked all nice and tidy along the grille structure: Made sure there was a good amount of length to the wires coming right out of the lights, before they were a bit short and the hood tugged on them a bit. A lot better now! I also installed a fuse holder in the wire right off the battery, should be safe that way. Works good! An interesting side note, I recently found out that these transaxles have an adjustable differential. Got this pictire that's from a B-110 manual: It's all to do with the odd external differential they used, but in theory if you torque those two bolts past 20 ft/lbs, it should have positive traction. So today I got the torque wrench out and took the bolts to 25 ft/lbs. Sure enough, it worked! I was trying to break some ice off the ground with the blade, and she never slipped a wheel once. It was spinning both the whole time. Sweet! Hahaha, that should definitely come in handy! So anyways, thought I'd share that neat little bit of info. Let me know what ya think! | You should hook up to a heavy trailer and pull it across some ice/snow/mud and see how far you get with it locked and unlocked. Might be a fun little test. | |

| There's only one of these adjustable hub assemblies in the RH wheel hub? Simple concept but it sounds like it functions pretty well. You should find a breakdown of the unique differential. I'd like to see how that works. | |

| So I took a break from working on the Build-Off tractor for a few minutes and built something for the B-110 I've been thinking about for a little bit now... A crane/tow truck attachment!! Works great! Gave it a proper test using the Wheel Horse as you can see, haha. It's not quite done, but it works as it is for now. Should come in handy! | As much as I hate to see a Wheel Horse on the hook I like the small wrecker boom you made there. I know it will be used a lot to move the machines in your tractor collection around. | |

| Thanks Carl. Haha, yeah luckily that was only for testing purposes. It definitely should come in handy. It's quite simple obviously, took a couple pictures of it by itself: The simple hook and chain deal I got going on here allows for a lot of height adjustment, which is nice. | Been messing around with some tillage stuff on the B-110, I've had this real small plow bottom sitting around that's how ever many years old, and a while back I was able to adapt it to the lift hitch on the ol' girl: Obviously it's quite small and has no coulter disk, but it works quite well! Even in somewhat packed ground. Also figured out a way to make this little row cultivator work for both digging and transport mode, so I gave it a test in a little section of garden: Good working unit as well! Not sure how much I'll use this one, but it's cool to know that I can. I tell ya I could do this stuff all day, hahaha. Let me know what ya think! | Did a bit of minor tinkering with the Allis today, I bought my self a neat looking push/pull switch to put in place of the toggle ignition switch: On: Off: Pretty minor, but I think it's kinda cool! Little more old school looking, haha. Also I got a work light put on the fender, since they have a hole for one from the factory: Just little upgrades I guess, haha. Let me know what ya think! | Well today I took a shot at something I've been wanting to try for a while now, involving my homemade adjustable lift hitch. The adjustment part was always super nice, but in order to adjust it I had to unhook the upper pivot and thread it up or down on the lift link. That was always a bit of a pain, haha. So I did some cutting and welding, and ended up with a joint at the bottom of the lift link to allow it to rotate 360° Then I made up a quick crank handle to mount on top and presto! Now all I gotta do to adjust 'er is wind the handle over! Here's with the lift linke screwed down all the way: Then with it up all the way: As you can see it allow for quite a bit of adjustment! Tried it out with the disk hooked up too: Works great! A lot quicker to adjust it than before. I also found out I can adjust it while sitting on the tractor, which I didn't plan on but I'm sure glad it worked out that way! Haha. Let me know what ya think!
