So I tinkered a little bit on that 85 Murray GT. Right now I will start a thread on it in the Utility thread. I am leaning towards a Utility Build possibly for this tractor. I'll need to come up with a project codename as well then come back and update the title.

Utility seems like a good fit for this rig I think. In that case I expect some heavy duty steering and a beefy home-built front axle with steering knuckles!
Any ideas as far as tires for it? Or is that stuff all still in the works?

It's an open canvas.
I will probably put ags on the back of this one. I have a sleeve hitch for it. I'll leave this transaxle unlocked. Beyond that, I will probably take notes etc. Maybe build some stuff for it? We will see.
I've talked with some other members about this project. I wasn't feeling motivated and was going to scrap it and just use it as parts for Kal. Well, I have had many nights to sleep on it and had the need today for a utility tractor again for some yard use that wasn't "locked" in the rear. My old utility tractor became the Craftsman Hotrod.
So, as time and $$ presents itself, I have decided to go ahead and build the tractor. Things I plan:
* Clean and Paint * Go through and decarbon engine * Change Transaxle oil * New tires * Replace the rag joint with something else? * I have the sleeve hitch for the tractor, reinstall it. + I have impliments that can be used with it. * Build a front bumper * Maybe create a mount for it to share the the front blade
Now to name it I guess...
Edit: * Change hood to an old craftsman one that I had on it. It will need some mods to work. I'll put this one back on Li'l Red.

I like that hood a lot. You could put some attractive cut outs in it for the oppy heads if you have to.
I will definitely have to cut out the hood for the oppy. I have some ideas that I could rivot to the sides where I cut it out. It should help with the structural integrity. Then again it may not need it. We will see when I cross that hurdle.
