My tractor I have taken the last few times is beat to hell and I haven't had time to fix anything on it but if I can source a cheap battery and fix my spindles and repair my carb, then I get to take up the no brakes issue, then I'll load it up, but for now I got the gas pedal that is a govennor bypass built for the build For me to take this to haspin id have to build the front end a battery tray a trans brace all the belt keepers and an engine roll cage so I kinda doubt I'm taking it now I work two jobs so every nice day is when I work

So I have been out romping on the rig with my new buddy he likes my other craftsman. we where out ripping and I guess this engine burned a bunch a oil because it started to overheat and loose power, then it almost seized, I was having trouble with the starter too? So I put a half of an old split 6inch rim for a pull start. I pull into my buddies drive way on the rig and it has no power hardly, then she started knocking and tossed the top rod So we tore the rig down I'm gonna redo the wiring again and replace the dash with a better one, and I bought another 100$ parts rig for the MST 206 and a unicorn pressure lube oppy I also got a crank for free from another guy to fix my other unicorn oppy. So now I got a motor to build for the side and like 3 spare mst's because my grey craftsmans MST has rod knock lol. I got a long weekend off and a buddy with a garage I can trash we gonna be riding this rig Sunday and gonna get some pics of it all painted up and stuff I dont know if I'm gonna get to the front suspension stuff yet or not but the solid axle rides kinda good actually

Well i got the rig going Sunday but unfortunately I went through 2 ignition coils on this motor and I'm not sure why but both of em just lost spark so I have one or two spares left I can try before I have to buy one, I also got front tires with the new tires i got some mint craftsman gt front rims and got the whole setup for 50$! I got the body painted satin black and gonna paint the hood this Sunday, I plan to go back to the mower salvage yard again this weekend and see if I can score any cool parts I'm looking at three vanguard motors he has and id consider the swap if the oppy keeps being unreliable.because vannys are peak reliable

Weird it keeps popping coils like that. I don’t think I’ve ever bought a new oppy coil. I think I’ve had one die and another get weak, I just swap them for any other 20 year oil coil I have laying around. Last time I thought I had a bad coil it turned out I had a bad spark plug, probably a good idea to get some new ones if you’re like me and run the factory ones until they fail, lol.
I'd change the plugs as well. My Green Machine appeared to be going through coils as well turned out to be bad plug. Couple other things to look at as well. When replacing the coil, be sure to brush down the posts where the coil bolts. They can build up with white corrosion and keep the coil from grounding well. (This is a biggie too). One other thing. I have found that the kill wire post near the flywheel sometime crack and ground out the kill wire. I have started to NOT use this point anymore and just run a wire out with a protected connector and connect to that instead.
Got some good pictures of this rig and tons of progress, I'm tryibg to figure out my kill wire situation I think my ignition is what's killing the coils maybe but sometimes it randomly won't start when warm unless I unplug my kill wire so I'm gonna wire to a tug kill switch if anyone has a good recommendation. I got the front wheels on and they look great and clear the frame the steering is nice and it rides great at 6psi I can almost go lower but then the steering might get tough. i got the stickers and crud off the hood sanded it pretty good, not perfect because it's just an off-road toy but good enough. I ran out of filler primer and instead of waiting I just did two thick coats of satin black. I don't plan on leaving it all plain and black I wanna do some stickering and give it a race livery kinda thing gasser style I thought about adding a silver two tone to the hood because it would look cool then i also considered painting my rims gold and doing a gold two tone, idk. I have plenty of ideas I just have to find time, I really need to finish the exhaust and intake because this motors a little lean
