Tore the AYP down to the frame & pressure washed it & cleaned the gas tank out
Took a look to the Hydro & it looks really crappy to me, but I will look for the Oil what it needs & then change the Oil & send it with hard work LOL

While messing with a flat tire off my Rototiller in the shop I realized that my AYPs Frame has as much frame Flex as my MTD has & that I need to do something against that! As U can see R the outsides pretty free so I should be able to just bolt flat stock I have chillin around on the sides, & weld a Frame outta it that gets bolted on the AYP frame.
Also discovered that AYP starts to rust, so I might slap some black paint on the frame on some spots! The Body has some rusty spots too!
& while looking @ it I just thought: ,,How would look a Body Swap on it???" So I might end up trying to swap the Body off 1 of my Dynamarks onto it (Gutbrod hood, Gutbrod fenders, Dynamark Floorboards, homemade seat & fender mount, Gutbrod Dash)
Not sure if I do that waste of time, but it might would look cool!

Well. Not sure about the body swap. I've said before that I am not a fan on hood or body swaps. All that Poulan stuff might make it look like the beast that it really is. Then again I haven't seen the Gutbrod stuff your talking about so It doesn't really matter what I say. I don't see the need for reinforcements if you're not going over crazy hills and rocks. Pulling things and pushing snow wouldn't need reinforcements. Just sayin'.
There you go! Slap some paint over the rust, and it disappears. .

I'd be more concerned about that tranny blowing than I would be about looks, but that's just me.

It'll be fine. The murray in the Profile pic has a really cheap hydro that is pully swapped and considering the damage it takes from being speed up I abuse it about as hard as I can.

He's talking about plowing with it and stuff. I'm fairly certain it won't work for that.

I kinda like the AYP Body, but also like the 30year old Body off the Gutbrod..

If the Hydro will blew up, I have a Tuff Torq I could swap in, and a few MSTs and 930s and a 920 LOL

Wow that does look good. But I don't see it going on the AYP. I think they both look good the way they are, just my opinion. Wait, does that AWS on the hood mean All Wheel Steer?
I think the hydro will be fine for hard work unless you pulley swap it. But you probably have more sense than that (and I obviously don't). Mine pulled a couple hundred pounds of rock uphill before I pulley swapped it.

Gutbrod is in parts. Stole the Vanguard 14HP off it, stole the AWS rear end off it, frame sits in the backyard rn waiting til I get time to build it.
Pulley swaps murder Hydros. I dont think that my Hydro is that weak like a FNR, but its also not Rocksolid.

Yes I know but I don't care.
Well hey, It's your build and if you want to swap it over go right ahead.

RN its really not important since I have almost no freetime & tons of Projects, & even bought me 2 new Projects! (I prolly wont talk about them in here since theyre nothing mower related & my try to bring other topics in here with my PC thread failed so I wont try it again with the rusty POSes I got)

Got some Progress done to my AYP!
pulled everything off the Frame that was in the way!
took the angle grinder & ground off a bit of the corners in the front of the frame
AYP looks like a pile of Junk rn LOL
I guess when U guys see this now, U know why I did pull the front axle n stuff...
This is a supporting Frame I made outta 8x40mm flat stock that gets bolted on the sides of the frame, to get rid of all the frame flex!
Primed it, & will slap some black paint on it soon!
normally U dont need that brace, but since I want to abuse this thing to pull heavy stuff & blow snow (look @ the snowblower attachment) I will need a strong frame! I bolted it on before priming, & dad held the frame down on the front, I tried to twist the back, & it moved max 1mm, before easily 2cm! I guess that should do the Job!

I got the Reinforcement Subframe painted & bolted it on!
I also figured that the rubber seal that's in the Gas Tank was broken, but they want 30$ for it, so I tried to ,,fix" it with some engine sealant & glued it in there (no pics)
Then I connected a small gas tank to the fuel pump & tried firing it up. Also fixed the pressure line from the fuel pump to the valve cover. It runs really lean even on full choke, so I might tear in that carb again & buy a new carb 4 it...

Lookin' good! How much did that subframe help get rid of the flex?

with your bare hands U were able to flex the frame stock about 1" & with the new subframe max 1mm when U stand on the front of the frame & jump on it U can get the front articulation to move a bit but that's enough reinforcement for this rig, it just needs to mow & blow snow & pull heavy stuff...

Well my ordered Carb Kit FINALLY ARRIVED!
Hope to get that Carb bolted in, make a new Exhaust & fire it up the 1st time running smooth since I have it next Weekend!
Only bad thing about this Briggs is that the 720CC will be extremely thirsty!

Got the Carb in!
when I was diving through the Shop I found this Beauty!!
& the Question if I should do that was answered pretty Quickly...
The Best thing on my Mowers LOL
Killed the Safety Switch as well...
& pulled the Muffler & realized how Disgusting the V Twin sounds with Muffler on, & how badass without!!!
Threw The deck back on & sharpened the Blades
Will fully rebuild it in Winter or Fall cuz its pretty rusty underneath but I know that the grass will sand off the rust so I wont clean it up now LOL
& then I put that Thing to work & was amazed how much Torque it has even in idle!! Moved the old Gutbrod 1114 AWS that's getting the Dynamark Offroader someday outta my outdoor storage & tore it apart to store it on top of the shop!
It did pretty well besides the fact that the Fuel Pump seems to be pretty old & doesnt pump too good anymore so it's running bad uphill & good downhill!
New Pump should be in the Mail soon since I ordered 2 of them when i ordered the Carb!

surging is caused by a clogged carb or bad seals somewhere! Get a 35$ Carb kit, it comes with all the seals & fuel filter & carb!"I put 1 in & the engine runs nicely! Surging will cause the engine to run too hot & will destroy your heads!

I & Dad finally found few hours to put the LED Backlights & the 12V / USB Socket I bought 1/2 year ago 4 it into the AYP!
We mounted the backlights right on top of the rear reflectors
We wired them on to the Headlights so when U turn the ignition on & put the lights on Head & Backlights light up!
& then we wired the Socket in!
The 12V is 24/7 active & directly wired to the battery cables while I wired the USB Side to the ignition lock so when U turn the Ignition on the USB Socket works as well!
Now I can charge my Phone while Mowing LOL
The 12V Socket should be able to power strong stuff since I have a 35AH Car battery in the AYP & used thick wires to wire it in!
