Haven’t posted anything on here in years, but figured I’d share my lt1000 I’ve been slowly building over the last year, as it sits now it has a 6 speed spicer that is locked, front end out of a John Deere, 21 horse intek v-twin, 25 inch rear tires, and 20” fronts. At this point I’m not sure what to do next, it’s geared for 35 mph top speed, but the fromt end won’t handle that, and I’m not sure on how to properly build one. But for now it’s a fun toy to go beat around the woods.

Welcome back! Nice craftsman. Maybe some way to pin your front axle (lock it in place where it does not go up and down) for when you want to go fast?

I’ve been thinking about that, I wanted to eventually do a quad IFS setup but I kinda feel like that makes it more of a quad than a mower

Replace all the steering joints with heim joints and maybe mount a set of small ATV shocks, the handling will be safer and the shocks will help with hard landings.

Didn’t get any pictures, but couldn’t sleep last night so I took the whole front end and front end mounts off, drilled new holes, and relocated the axle 8” forward on the frame, then custom made some steering linkage with rod ends I had laying around

You can see how much further forward the axle is, also the Creek is normally about 5 feet lower lol
