Well now i have two builds going for the build off this is gonna be fun. My other is in storage for now because im searching for parts. And heres my one of my build off tractors for lack of a better name im calling it craftsman ATLT you can guess what it means. But i tend to find name insparation in many ways. And this one isnt properly named yet. Enough rambling, i just got this tractor for wiring up a druggies dixie chopper... so it was sorta free i traded a wiring harness i paid nothing for. So free to me. Its got terrible frame damage and its bent super bad. I want this tractor to be like mightys tractors perdy from 10ft and an absolute beast So first things first i have to repair and reinforce the frame because its in bad shape. I got it knowing its issues but i call it a holy grail for a mud mower 6 speed (spicer) and briggs intek 21hp vtwin (that will never run right) and 2nd gen steering. However it has a stamped axle that is shot the bushings are gone and the axles falling apart. You will see in the pics. The hood is rusty dented and has a big crease and the body has a big bend on the left side foot board where the frame damage is. The tires are bad and it runs terribly but i had it running decently for a while. Ive gotten the tractor running already it took a bunch of work... this tractor has to be torn down and rebuild almost entirely due to frame damage. And also im going to weld the diff and weld frame strengthening. Im gonna lift it in the front a small bit pully swap it and do performance mods to the engine. It will be a basic build but im gonna really put effort into making it a nice tractor. to-do: replace front axle to make it funtional modify front end get running reliably new fuel line and clamps new tires, tubes and rims(halfway there) paint fix the frame and stiffen it fix the bodys dents and damage side exit exhaust (not for sure yet) mufflers seat bumpers headlights tail lights (if i can hunt some down) name it and display its name (after paint and body work) pully swap and tensioners new belt grease everything weld the diff bumper hitch snorkel (maybe) custom steering wheel adapter custom dash plate from aluminum gas pedal with cruise control seperate foot brake
total cost so far: 45$

TONS of updates i worked almost all day on it and got it to drive right and it drives GREAT. And it runs better then it dod. It lights right off and idles and runs full throttle happily. I cant wait for the gas pedal this things gonna be a blast. Currently has mismatched tires all around the backs are the ones that came with and im changing those out for some old crusty atv tires once i get them swapped over onto some rims. As you can see in the pics the whole front end was screwed. So i replaced the front end with a straight axle from an older craftsman that was still tight. And i replaced the drag link with one from a first gen steering but i shortened it about 6 inches and welded an adjustable ball joint end from a MTD so i can adjust steering center. Also i lifted the front end and leaned it back my red craftsman is the same but with first gen steering and a cast iron front axle. Ill add a to do list to the first post eventually. Also it seems to run better without the muffler? I drove it over to the previous owners house and he said it was pretty cool but he is mad at his wife for selling it because he needed the motor. LOL welp mine now i said id give him my spare 21hp single and he didnt want it.

Lots of updates ill edit this post a couple times due to having two phones and a computer with all the pictures and its easy to edit on the pc the phones difficult to edit it with. Today It got "new" front tires an engine cage and hood pins thats about it and i got the tires pulled off my extra set of rims so the tire shop can put my "new" (used) atv trail pros on the rear. I cant barely change a tire between rims its a pain to me. Oh and it got a gas pedal almost forgot LOL. The gas pedal with the straight pipes just sounds so dang good i love it. Still getting mufflers though its too loud since i live in town I cant wait till i get the "New" rear tires on and ive got a real mint set of actually new rims and tires i just need high speed 3/4 bearings for the hubs and its gonna get aluminum racing wheels up front.

And thanks yea ive had free time and its been decent weather for working so i have been excited for this build and am loving how its turning out. I really need to paint as much as possible the next warmest day.

Oh my im loving this build just got done with a after pully swap test ride and its fully pully swapped now using the stock sized belt that was pretty important to me so i know exactly what to get. Its fast. Its got tons of torque still and once i get the new tires on its gonna fly. This things gonna be a real rig what "ranger" never could do. Also its faster lol. Rangers gonna be the backup beater since its got really bad steering. So i made sure to take pics and got some good ones i made a ton of progress and painted a bunch of stuff too. And it got a hood ordament that was pretty fun to make. Also in the pics you can see the frame damage and i considered putting an atv bumper on it but it would be too weak and hard to mount Also the clutch got moved back to the middle so i can run almost any pully combo i wanna which means SPEEED

@Budget_gokart i'll get you a pick of that hood in the next couple days. unfortunately where i ride belongs to a family member that don't want me taking people they don't know out there. i have plans to buy the property one day but no time soon.
