Ever wonder what to much oil does in a briggs

That was oil? Man- if I didn't know better, I'd swear the carb had flooded the crankcase with fuel! What idiot did that?

Did you check the oil before trying to start it? Only reason I ask is that's one of the first things I do with a unknown motor.

We've had 2 of the 14.5 OHV singles. They smoked like crazy if you got the rpms too high(ungoverned).

Nice cheap tractor. I'd slap the deck on and sell, or mow away!

I run into this every few tractors or so but this one was the worst EVER and so I knew it would make a great youtube clip LOL

I plan to see if I can get the other hydro I have up and running if so I will swap on a deck to this one and MOD the other hydro with a bigger engine in it.

I had shared your original post on the Facebook page. That was some insane flooding. How far up the stick was it?

It was more then half way up the stick the entire OHV valve cover was filled when I pulled it.

Sometimes you really gotta wonder what on earth runs through some people's minds. Could it be as simple as "If I put more in, I can go longer between top-ups"?

Maybe he was yet another bonehead consumer that never changed the oil, and somehow noticed one day that it was way low. Maybe out. Then, he got overzealous pouring oil in, overdid it, and couldn't figure out how to get the excess back out.

i drained 2.5 liters out of a 10 hp once -_- idk wtf the previous owner was thinkin, lol

Or maybe he overfilled it on purpose, to protect stuff if he wasn't planning on running it for a while?
