Just glad you’re ok.

How bad is she? Sounds fixable though. Hood can be glassed and bondo’d and you’ll never know.

Scary stuff! Hopefully the tractor took the brunt of the beating (sad as that sounds)?

I run a harbor freight badlands 2500 pound winch on my Polaris trail boss it works great for what it is. on my tractors I use a boat winch it works fine if you are okay with manual labor

Good to hear, just hurt your pride eh?! Been there done that! Lol. I have a 2000lb that I'll be using and believe it won't be working very hard for a small tractor, I used one similar to pull a '79 Chevy about 80 yards without out issue. Get yourself a snatch block to go along with it, it essentially doubles the pulling power or cuts the strain in half ~ six or one half dozen to the other.

Broke a tie rod winching out of a rutted mud pit, was actually waist deep in the rut, I had to get in since the winch was underwater. Luckily I brought one of my stock tie rods as a spare so i could keep on riding

It ran great, towards the end the engine was really hot so when you let the clutch out in a high gear, it would die or you couldn’t rev it at all

turns out the reason it was bogging down towords the end is because the the brake pad that was heavy duty glued onto the band from factory had come off and wedged itself in the tightest spot between the band and the drum, so there was alot of stress on the engine so it just died when you let the clutch out in a high gear

Brilliant, just brilliant! First thing I would've thought to use would've been body panel adhesive because it's easy to get ahold of but I would've ended up wasting the rest of the container (which isn't cheap). Now I know that JB weld is THAT tough and can handle the heat I'm all that better armed.

Thanks for the tip!

so i go under my tractor for the first time since the ride and i get greeted by half a quart of oil under the tractor still dripping, since the tractor was still muddy, i could see that it had all leaked out of my brake shaft, which means that the seal went bad, so i found a crossreferenced seal online, i couldnt get the brake drum off without a puller, which i couldnt fit in there without dropping the trans, which i really didnt want to do, but i dropped the trans, and then i realized that i should take the shifter off to look the oil, and it looked like mud water, and i probably ran it like that for 3 hours at the offroad park in 3rd high, so thats where im at now
