| Nice man. Never worked on one of those carbs before. Dirt in carbs drives me crazy lol, cause I try my best to keep it out but it still gets in. | |

| I'd recommend getting a 3 screw for it eventually. Much more reliable, easy to mod, and my favorite part about them: you can run an external fuel pump. All my oppys are 3 screw carbs, and all run perfect. The one 4 screw I had would never run right. | |

| Yeah, and I find that blowing carbs out with an air gun is better than carb spray. It does help to soak it in gas overnight though first. | |

| Air was the plan on cleaning.
Been raining all day today. Thought I would give the Murray a test run the mud. It was either a success or fail, depending on angle you look at it. Fail, I wanted to spin the tires and sling some mud. Success, I got good traction and didn't spin my tires. Well it was only 2 inches of water and about 3 inches of mud under. It hasn't rained enough for deeper mud yet.

| Lol, one of the only things I don't like about Kenda Executioners: they just walk through everything and don't spin, unless you're really in it. Only been stuck once on Mutt (my Craftsman with them), and that was because the tires had plugged full and I was dragging the transaxle. Even if the diff had been locked I still would have gotten stuck lol. It was great, once I got driving back (at about 15mph) that mud went slinging everywhere... | |

| Played a little with the front bumper tonight on the Murray. It does not touch. Like 1/2 inch to spare. Finally a picture showing the bracing I did for the front bumper. Plus a little skid plate of sorts. I still need to make one for the transaxle.

| I'll probably chop up one of the 3 decks i have for a plate under the transaxle. Sometime next year I will need to look into some sort of brakes. The one on the transaxle is pretty much only good for a parking brake. LOL That and I'd rather only have the gears inside for turning, not trying to stop suddenly. Sounds like a recipe for disaster. | |

It's a magnet I got long ago. It's spent the last 4-6 years on my tool box. When I started this project, it was screaming to jump on it. I think it may have a new home.

| Bumper looking good. If you cut slots in the brake disc and install automotive pads, you can vastly improve the braking power of the stock brakes. | |

| I have some stopping power, I just cringe at the thought of having an emergency stop from 15+mph, the brake stopping the gears and the bowl gear ripping to shreds from the force of Me, big tires and tractor itself. I have a keyed axle, end to end. I may add a hydraulic or mechanical disk brake in the future. I have plenty of room for it.
Clocked the Murray at 18mph this past weekend.

| 18mph is pretty fast for the pulley sizes you're running. Must be the big tyres | |

| Yeah, I'd say maybe the tires. I went from 18" to 22" LOL I just know they are huge and get tons of grip. Once this house buying process is complete I will need to finish up the few things I want done (better brakes, transaxle skidplate), then it will be on to the likes. | |

| No updates in a while, Li'l Red and company were packed up and moved to my parents while we prep for moving to our new house this weekend. The house we were renting does not have a fence, and with some sketchy stuff that has been happening in the area we are moving from, I wanted all the tractors in a safe place. :-) One update, I did remove the straight pipe. It was all cool and sounded "AWESOME!" but when I was doing some speed runs down the street while it was closed for traffic. I was cranking up some major noise. I reworked the exhaust and I am now using an AC-1 muffler that shoots out from under the footrest on the left side. Can't wait to get the move complete, some stuff around the new house and maybe during my company's shutdown during Christmas, maybe we can get some snow for a snow romp and pull the girls around on their sled.

| 78 C30. No, no big throaty sounds. I would like to redo exhaust one day. We got it engineless and put a 350 in it. It's actually my parents, but they keep it at My house as I have been the only one to take care of it. Don't laugh, but I painted it with rattle can Rustoleum Lagoon Blue.

| This is the project I want to do next. I'm sure I can get it free. It's my in-laws in their field. I'm thinking a rat rod build? It has an engine not seized but missing an intake and carb. I am not sure if it shifts, and I can't move it. It's sunk into the ground and weighs a ton. I also already have a name for it. Pops. LOL [/url]
