Subject: Fordification's LGT-2000 build. Fri Jun 23, 2017 11:25 pm
So I picked up this LT-2000 in a trade this morning. all stock besides the front wheels. so far all I've done is put a spare rear end in it that I had laying around that is locked and has a pulley swap on it already. so now the thing runs about 20mph instead of the 4.9 when I got it.
Plans arent set in stone yet but some basics are
-Custom front and rear bumper (with hitch) for pushing and pulling stuff when needed -Aggressive pulley swap, hoping for 35mph -26" AG's for the rear -2" lift -Widen track width -SLIGHT stretch (around 6") -Snorkel
EDIT: Blew up the 18hp intek a few nights ago, putting a different body and engine on this frame. Tractor will be called the "LGT-2000"

Sweet, I may be looking for a craftsman frame for next year's build. Definitely need a lift to fit 26" tires in there!

Yeah, I had a craftsman lt-1000 frame with a ford lgt body on it for the 2017 build, but ended up getting caught up with personal stuff and had to put it on hold. finally got back on track though.
As for the lift, yeah I'm hoping to get away with as small of a lift as possible

Whats transaxle do you have? hopefully its a heavy unit if you're putting 26" Ags on there! Hahaha.

Not sure what transaxle I will end up with, I was going to buy one this week but have to get a engine first... the valves shot through the head and valve cover..... so going to upgrade engines soon just have to decide what I want to swap in. Almost thinking of a diesel?

So I blew the Intek up and pulled the engine out. then decided that I want to run my old Ford LGT-120 body off of the old Lt-1000 bent frame I had a few months ago. So currently getting that setup to go on. have a bit of trimming to do on the frame so that the Ford body will fit. Suspension height will stay the same but the body is going to be body-dropped so that the foot-rests are even with the bottom of the frame.

Looks pretty dank! Did you just flip the front axle? That's really a bad idea...
Uhm, yes and no. It is currently flipped in the pictures as i was using it to make measurements for the custom axle i am working on that will basically be using fabricated "drop spindles" with part of the factory axle but widened 3"
