Got started on this and realized I never entered it in the build off.
Its a '72 Ford LGT-120 on a craftsman lt1000 frame. Plan on making it run about 50mph.
To Do: Finish mounting to Craftsman lt1000 frame. Peerless transaxle. Direct Steer. Swap motor to a 20-30 horse Custom dash. Custom grille. Custom front axle. Wider stance. Shift linkage. Throttle and brake pedal. Disk brake. Relocate battery and gas tank somewhere low.
Im aure im forgetting some plans.

20-30 hp?? Wow hahaha! Where are you gonna get that kinda power? Also what model Peerless trans are you thinking about putting in?

the early 2000's craftsman gt series had 20-29 horsepower engines. Thinkingbill end up with one of those. Going to get the engine from my secret lawnmower graveyard I know of.
Thinking maybe a 700 series. Not 100% sure, havent done enough research on what one to use yet.

Interesting. That's quite a bit of power for a trans like that though. Ah I'm sure she could handle it hahaha!

yeah, I'm not sure what trans to use yet.
Gotta get an 820 and get some racing gears for it. I'd bet a 26ish hp ungoverned v twin could push you over 60 with a 2:1 pulley swap on racing gears! That's be pretty mad on direct steering tho lol. Just an idea or two...

got the 16 horse to fire up, doesnt run the best but atleast now I'll be able to move it under its own power once the battery is moved.
not sure what to do for a engine swap yet. waiting to have some more cash to throw at this thing, but have been busy cutting it up.
anyways. Got the seat mounted directly to the frame, steering shaft is shortened for now until I can make a direct steer setup. trying to figure out where to mount the battery as right now its in a factory hole right between my legs, but once it has a belt hooked up this wont work.

Not much progress so far, been stuck trying to decide on a gas tank location... also looking for a engine over the next few days at my favorite mower junk yard.

battery in a box behind the seat, gas tank in stock location... or reverse the above... if you put the tank in the back, an inline 5psi electric fuel pump should be added

Thanks but, thats the issue, the stock gas tank location is WAY above where the hood now sits, battery will be going in the original shifter location right behind the dash, or depending on how much room i have, under the hood tucked up next to the dash, gas tank will probably go right under the seat.

IT RUNS! threw it together enough to beat on it today because I was bored. transmission is on its last leg and only works in 2nd gear for some reason (i accidentally put 1st in the video) going to the junkyard this weekend with my GT3000, hopefully I'll convince the guy to trade me some parts for the build.
Ended up destroying the belt.

Got to about 25-ish, engine shot the valves clean through the head, pulled engine and junked it, tractor sat as a roller for a while while i was looking for bigger engines, ended up taking it apart and its sitting in a corner of my garage waiting to be restarted one day
