| Well since I am being pushed to do dual exhaust (plus I actually would like to as well haha) there shouldn't be a pipe crossing in front of the engine anymore, just one on each side. So that should keep the exhaust heat down I would think. |

I would agree. Especially depending on type of grill ya make. No one's pushing. Just really strong suggestions. _______________________________________________ Li'l RED my original modified tractor!Forum Admin -- Chat Admin-- Facebook Page Admin ATLTF Facebook Page -- How To Upload PicturesHave a question? | Interesting. It's a good starting point.
Got any old tractor grills out behind a shed anywhere? _______________________________________________ Li'l RED my original modified tractor!Forum Admin -- Chat Admin-- Facebook Page Admin ATLTF Facebook Page -- How To Upload PicturesHave a question? | Uhhhh, yeah!!! Suspension is on the waiting list hahaha.
Glad ya like it Rich! I definitely have plans for a bumper, I'm just not sure how I want it to look yet. Also the strip of that grey stuff on the bottom is welded to the grille frame, and I used the ARC welder...so take that!! Hahaha, just kidding. It did take some patience though haha. _______________________________________________ "This'll either wake you up or put you to sleep forever!"- Red Green "Whatever you do you should do right, even if it's something wrong." - Hank Hill - MTD Off-Road Build - Ford LT 110 Off-Road Build - Craftsman GT 6000 Off-Road Build - Allis B-110, 710 & 716 - Wheel Horse 655 & 953 - Case 444 - Bolens Versamatic & 1668 - Cub 106 & 124 - Ford LGT 125 & 145 - |

| So I did some work on the ol' GT 6000 today. My throttle and choke cables both froze up, so I just have the choke disconnected until I make it to Canadian Tire to pick up a different one. But as for the throttle, I figured this was a good time to make a foot throttle. So I did! Works great! So much nicer to drive now. And I finally got rid of that hilariously destroyed steering wheel. A steering wheel I took out of a '79 F100, I think it looks nice and it's quite durable. Hell anything's better than that other steering wheel hahaha. Let me know what ya think!

| I like how you're using parts you have on hand for this build, like the steering wheel and re purposing the factory hand throttle into a foot throttle. How's the return action on the foot throttle with the solid type of cable. |

Thanks W! Yeah, not to rub it in but I just happened upon this thing and I didn't have to pay anything for it, hahaha. Just a moment of luck I guess! - @Crazy_Carl wrote:

Thanks Carl! Belive it or not the return spring pops it back to idle every time. I was surprised knowing how stiff these mechanisms and cables are. - @RichieRichOverdrive wrote:

Thanks Rich, yeah should be a nice setup. I hope to get some nicer tires for it, I'm just not really sure what kind I want yet. Haha Also another small improvement, I modified my shifters like I've been wanting to do. The factory setup: Not really a fan of it, the shifters are too short for me. I thought dual sticks like an old tractor would be cool, so jere's what I came up with! Pretty close in 3rd Hi, but they don't hit! A bit of paint. I love this new setup. Way more comfortable to shift, looks pretty cool too in my opinion, hahaha. | I like it! Stock levers usually suck, really uncomfortable. I like having something with a good feel to it. Do you have the shift plate for it? I think you should put it in if you did. |

Thanks Rich! I do have the shifter plate, I've considered modifying if to fit with the hew shifters. We'll see, haha. - @Crazy_Carl wrote:

Thanks Carl! They do kinda have that old school dual stick look haha. I try to always have a few crazy ideas floating around in my head, haha.

| Not sure, still trying to think about what setup I wanna do. A 1/4 elliptical leaf spring setup would be all under the frame, which is good because I dont really have the room for coils or coilovers. Hmmm.... we'll see haha. Also it doesn't do too well with the turfs, but I'll get some better tires for 'er sometime.
