They have been on there for awhile I just forgot to post about it. Got them on sale , and I think they are brighter than my trucks headlights. Good thing I had them last time I got stuck cause I was out past dark behind the woods and there is a lot of road hazards to watch out for.

Fixed the idler , the one I put in might not last that long but is better than this one that was on it!

Well it runs , barely . Made it down the tree row half way and ran out of gas then once I got gas the carb clogged and I idled it back home .

Yeah I guess so. I am going to take off the carb and disassemble it fully, AGAIN .

Well that kinda sucks. Just out of curiosity is it a fixed jet 4 screw carb? Or can you adjust it? I always prefer adjstable carburetors, especially when you're messing with exhaust and stuff.

Its a 4 screw fixed . i think i have a adjustable one laying around that i already cleaned but it could be a 4 screw also. my build off project has a 3 screw and it always runs great and has a super nice idle.

Do you have a fuel filter or screen installed? Is there a lot of debris in the bottom of your gas tank?

I was gonna ask the same thing Carl. Maybe try a new or better fuel filter

lol . no i just realized there isnt must have forgot to put one on in the hurry to get it running for the first time. the carb had been running badly since this mower has been moving and i hadn't cleaned it either. i am going to swap carbs tho, as the other one is a 3 bolt one , but the adjustment screw looks weird and isnt like my other 3 bolt carb

Well at least there's not a hole in the side of the block or something. Remember....

Make sure your fuel tank and lines are really clean. I ran Onion outta gas and it plugged the idle jet for like the 3rd time. Gotta take the carb apart again and clean it, along with washing out the tank.

That's what happened to me when I was trying to get Belle's new engine running. Along with the fact that the carb leaked from every place it could lol. I just replaced the whole fuel system, ain't nobody got time for dat!!!

Don't want to stray the topic too far, but the carb I swapped onto it had the fuel solenoid fall off about 8 times, each time dumping gas all over my exhaust.
Now, back to the topic before the Mod Hammer strikes.

Only time I dump gas is when I pull the plug out of the carb or get careless with the gas can, lol.
Oil, though....the sump gasket I put on Mutt's pressure lube isn't working well. Not a serious leak though. Kinda odd considering that the gasket I put on the 18hp oppy that came out of it is doing just fine.

Same thing happened to me the day after I bought Sodzilla.

That's what was wrong with my LT1000 when I got it. Bearing in the plastic idler seized and the belt ate the pulley. Just threw a different idler on, got a new belt, and that was all it took to fix it. Damn plastic pulleys, lol
