Thanks! It's a 1967 c10 long bed stepside 283sbc standard 3spd. It was my dads first vehicle that he ever owned. Been in the faimly for 30 years now. Been sitting in a barn since 1998 pulled it out last year so it had been in there for 20 years. My dad ran it every 5 years or so. But It runs again, I'm working on brake lines right now and replacing them all because their all original and in rough shape.

Thanks guys! Yeah I ran the numbers on the john deere and it comes up to be a 1973. But she needs a rebuild cause it burns oil like mad and smoke's like a freight train but it runs good though. I had the head off once and you could move the piston back and forth in the bore so shes alittle wore out.

So just an update I havent been working on the wheel horse besides upgrading every bolt on it to grade 8. Me and my dad are building a garage and I've been going to school so I havent had tons of time to work on it but I do have a blade I'd like to use. I got it from the guy who use to own it but the blade is from an older round fender wheel horse so the width is wider than what's its supposed to be and it worked with the original size tires but not anymore so itll need to be modified but I can definitely do that.

Yeah they're pretty nice and easy to use. I've gotta plan to make it skinnier so it will fit between my rear tires that I think will turn out pretty slick and you probably wont be able to tell if you didnt know what you were looking at.

So I've decided that I'm gonna make a hitch for the back of brutus so that I can pull stuff with it and it would also be nice to have a nice attaching point since I dont have a rear bumper . I never got a hitch with mine and I dont feel like buying one so I'm gonna make one out of this 1 in x 2 in C channel. I would like 1/2 in bar stock but I dont have any of that plus I'm not going to be doing anything to crazy with it anyway. But itll be built similar to the way wheel horse built them from factory .

Yeah. I normally like to completely over build stuff but this time I just dont have the steel to over build it with. I think instead of using a 3/4 inch pin to hold the hitch on, I'm gonna instead put bushings in the holes and step it down to half inch. The reason is that I've tried putting a 3/4 inch bolt through the hole but it's a tight fit and you pretty much have to beat it in there but I've seen it more than once where the pins decided to rust weld themselves to the transmission and then you gotta cut it apart and drive the pin out . So to save myself the headache I'll just use a half inch pin.....should be strong enough to do what I want......hopefully

Haha, yeah the pin for the slot hitch was seized super bad on my 655 when I got it and I had to cut it apart and use heat to get the pins driven out. Kind of a pain but it was totally worth it to be able to use the slot hitch.

Well it's been awhile since the last post I made but since its Christmas break I finally have the time to work on brutus. I've had the bushings done for awhile just havent posted pictures but here they are....nothing fancy.

I also got most of the hitch all welded together...my welds aren't the best but they work Basically it's just 1 1/4 flat bar and a piece of C channel.... Just stuff we had laying around. I just normally weld pieces of metal together till it looks like I want it to!

Well I had to test it out so I went out back and dug out this old aluminum trailer that me and my dad made years ago. The old wooden floor rotted out so I had to put a new floor in it. Needs bigger tires and a actual axle under it but I guess when the time comes I'll just make another build page for it....maybe

Sweat! I'll do that if I ever have to upgrade it. But first thing I need to do is work on the blade. Poor thing is so rotten I'm probably gonna sand blast it.
