As it goes right now I have three milling machines in my shop. There's never enough time in the day. I need to get the two that are apart done and back together so i can pull Mutt in the shop and get the new motorcycle carb and 820 in her. Hopefully I'll be able to ride with CQ and a few of his buddies, maybe haspin if i get the chance.
Get on that @RichieRichOverdrive , I do miss hearing the shenanigans you and MUTT got into. Heck I also miss @AllisKidD21 and MTD's posts too. But what can I say.... I haven't had Red out in who knows when. Hoping to get my back into shape so I can get Red over to my Inlaws and maybe make a new youtube vid or something.
I am also eyeing an old Suburban that is really calling to me. I may see about it after the first of the year if still around. Not my 1st Sears choice, but it is my second!

I'd already have everything to do around here done if i didn't procrastinate so much. I amazed myself with what i could do in an hour yesterday before work. I gotta hurry myself like that all the time lol.
It helps that i have money now. That seems to speed things along.
Merry Christmas everyone!! And I gotta show off my latest loss cause. 1980-something Mitsubishi D1850. Compact tractor, 4 cyl, 4wd, diesel. Pto, 3 point hitch.

Just got my mill painted. If any of you sre thinking abiut getting a porter cable spray gun from TSC, don't. Unless you're like, spraying oil on stuff. This thing does nothing but splatter paint everywhere, no matter how i try to fix it.
Nonetheless the paint job is a lot better than a rattle can. Especially with the hardener i mixed in.
If all it needs is a head gasket.... heck that's nothing! Great SCORE!
It's kind of a long story. My neighbor, late 50s, who is a very dear friend of mine, Her husband who worked out of the country recently passed away unexpectedly in Mexico. He got the tractor in payment for some work in the 90s. She told me if I don't take it it's never going to run again. His stepson who recently bought a skid steer to replace it told me that all it needs is a battery and a head gasket. He said it will run as it sits as long as there is no coolant in it. I have seen him running it and shredding pastures probably a little over a year ago. So ideally all it needs is a head gasket. It also came with a 4.5' bush hog and 5 40 pound suitcase weights.

Well I hope everyone has had a good Christmas. I've recently got done with peoples orders and now have some free time to my self.
Also I'm gonna try and buy a truck I like. I dont necessarily need it but it would be nice to have something else to drive in case my truck breaks down or I want to upgrade something. But basically it's a 1969 or 70 Chevy c10 short bed stepside. I know...I know. I already have one but it doesn't hurt to have another one...right? It's pretty similar to mine appearance wise but it has alot more options then mine. (Which isnt saying much because my truck is as base model as you can really get.) It was originally a 292 straight six truck but someone swapped in a sbc out of a van at some point which is kinda unfortunate but what do you expect. Definitely the coolest part of this truck is that it's got a factory bull dog four speed and high hump floor in it! Pretty sure it has factory 3.73 rear gears so its probably slow as heck but could probably pull a house down. The only big problem with this truck is that is has a "knock" . Not sure if it's a rod knock or something else but the guy who owns it is pretty hard on his vehicles and he was probably turning it at 8 grand. But it could also be a million other things. My uncle is a mechanic and it's my uncle's buddy who owns the truck, so I'm hoping he might want to sell it since it sounds like its gonna need a motor. I know if he keeps it he will probably ruin it buy shoving some hopped up sbc in it and expect it to be fast. But high horsepower motors and bull dog four speeds dont exactly get along very well. It's just not a good combination unless your engine is built to make horsepower in the lower rpm range instead of high rpm range. But back to what I was saying, I know it's a short bed so they are worth more but maybe the unknown knock will convince him to part with it.

Question: I finally got a flywheel for the Kohler but 2 magnets have come off. What should I use to put them on? JB weld or does it need to be like 2 ton epoxy?

@Murraymountain I'd probably go with whichever is stronger. It would suck to have those come back apart but I really dont know anything about epoxy and stuff like that. Is heat an issue? Maybe one does better with heat?

Yeah I don't know either. I think JB Weld will do just fine but I've been told it won't. I really want to get it done though because once my crank seals come in, I'm ready to finish the motor. So I really want to have it done and ready to install as soon as the seals get here. I've been told from an unreliable source that 5 ton epoxy (I think. I don't remember exactly which ton it was but still.) would do it, but still I think JB Weld will do.

@MightyRaze No unfortunately I wasn't able to buy the truck. He said he wanted 6,000 for it which is quite a bit out of my price range. I'm guessing he just threw a number out that's pricey because he doesnt want to sell it. But he will probably get rid out if when something else he likes better comes along. So maybe I'll be able to get it from him, but it's not like I already have one or anything I'm lucky enough to have one, if I had two then that just wouldnt be fair.
