1947 studebaker revival

So progress on this will be slow as hell but I thought why not post it up here for you guys to check out. My grandpa passed
away a few years ago and left me this, a 1947 studebaker m5 pickup. He had it as a show truck and it was almost completely restored except paint. Then due to health issues he wasn’t able to mess with it anymore and it sat for 20 years until today when we untarped it. As of now I don’t really have any plans for it except making it road worthy again and cleaning up the interior some. The body is gonna stay the way it is right now since the pantina is just about perfect. The drive line in it if I remember right is a 207ci straight six along with a 4 speed trans, new from factory this beast made a whopping 65 horsepower.

Sorry for your loss. That is an absolutely stunning machine right there. Lot of people in the world that would kill to be you right now. Do you have a title for it? I doubt she will need much to get going.

Anyone in your school parking lot with more than two braincells will be drooling at the sight of that truck, haha

That's a nice looking ol' truck, should be a fun project for sure.

Would that inline happen to be a flathead?

Yes it’s got a title and I know there’s nos parts in the garage so that should help. Also Alliskid I’m not quite sure so I’ll have to look.

Wow! That patina man! She's a beauty! But the 65 HP, LOL. I actually laughed when I saw that. Our car has a 5 cylinder and makes over 100 HP. Kind of weird to think that but then again it is a '47.
