| Hey guys. I’ve been dealing with a bad case of burnout. 2020 hasn’t helped with it either. Also my back has deterred any new builds or enjoying older ones. I had thought about building a speed build but have scrapped that. I’m also thinking of hauling off my spare tractors. Narrow down to Red, Kal, and my mower. Should the right mower come along, I may give it another shot.
I’ll still be here for now. With the frequency people “friends “ are fading out it sure is making it hard.
Sorry for the downer post. Hoping things brighten up soon.

| it the covid man, its not just you.... I have way over 20 different mowers/projects and I got rid of all my extra stuff just recently ... Give it some time and we will all be back at it, but its pretty much dead eveywhere except the awful politics...its gonna be a long slow winter, hopefully when we come out the other side things are a little brighter, people are less concerned about keeping their jobs.... | |

| Yup, I feel your pain. I got all kinds of joint pain now that the weather got cold. I might suggest focus on the shop and make upgrades to make work easier. Usually starts out with sitting in the center of things with drinking a cold snack to just think for a minute. I usually play the radio to keep from getting bored. A plan would help move things along when stuck in a rut. Winging things usually leads to after finishing one thing and then not knowing what is next. Might be some fun in doing that also. | |

| Yeah, same with me. I'm working on my truck a lot but I'm having trouble finding interest to work on my mowers. | |

| It hasn't helped that my once reliable 9n Ford quit running right when I need it most. Because of that, I have been down in my back for over a week. I've really needed it the past couple weeks in the ice storm cleanup, but have had to do a lot of carrying by hand. I have gone through EVERYTHING on it. I did resolve a fuel issue, but caused a leak. That's no big deal. I have multimeter'd that thing 5 times on the wiring and didn't find an issue until TONIGHT. Tonight, I had 0.01 volts to the coil. That's no good. I backtracked that issue to the ballast resistor under the dash. It has 12V in and 0.0 out. Once I replace it and with a fuel issue resolved, I'm hoping it runs again. I really need it to lift and load limbs to be taken to my in-laws.
Basically just a lot of ish going on that can really bring ya down. Little frustrated with the build-off too. Not sure how that is going to turn out. Great builds in probation and no updates since June/July. Those that are left I was hoping for some finishers so we can have a vote.

| I was feeling it too, Prancstaman has some good advice too. Start your heater, sit down, go for whatever catches your eye. For me, cleaning is always something to start doing and then go off doing something else, get caught up with it til midnight, and then sleep til noon the next day. Oops. Well, it distracts me from the depression that I get from doing nothing.
I'm pretty burnt out on mowers. Or maybe they just haven't caught my eye recently. I have a lot of other projects to attend to- three milling machines now, though I just got one to where I'm fine with it. Two cars now, though really all either of them need is an oil change and brake pads. Just the amount of stuff weighing on you makes doing anything seem arduous.
Hope you get feeling better. I hope we all do.

| Well I've been pretty tied up. Over the summer I started a little business of fabricating things for people. I've found that if you make art out of junk people really like that kind of stuff so that's what I've been doing. When I'm not making things I'm either working on the garage or spending time with faimly. I want to get back to working on my mowers but I just havent had the time and since school has started back we've jumped around from online, to in person, and now we're back online so that hasn't helped me find time either. But things have started to slow down since it's been getting colder so hopefully I can get back to working on some of my projects soon. | |

| Depends. I use to sell them at 15 bucks but got overloaded on orders so I slowly bumped it up to 30 now. But as for bigger projects I normally come up with a price based off of time and how big it is. I would do that for the small art but people like to know a price ahead of time and I'm not good at guessing how long it will take me. | |

| Ah yeah I know what you mean about guessing the amount of time it will take. That's bit me several times.
I think I've said it elsewhere on the forum, but my grandpa used to be a master metal worker. He built a full model steam engine with 4 cars and working doors and everything. Even the "wheels" worked and moved the pump. Somebody offered him $10K for it. It's an amazing work of art.
This stuff looks like the beginnings of something as big, if not bigger and better than that.
