So I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for just the Peerless MST 200 series transaxles to help make future searches and referencing easier for all. Anyone is welcome to add their input and experiences, if you find helpful links please post them and I'll copy them into the list. As more info and diagrams are found or submitted it will be added.
The idea came to me because @Krawler86 started this build thread and asked about his MST, both @MurrayMountain and I chimed in and I realized there wasn't a central source of info for them so here we go, let's build it!
- They come with up to 6 speeds. - They have a gear driven reverse instead of chain. - According to the manual all MST 200s are filled with 16oz of 80w90 gear oil. - The MST series transaxle by Peerless gear provides recesses for bearings, but doesn't include them. To strengthen your transaxle, order two bearings and install. SIZES: SAE: 6203-2RS-3/4" or METRIC: 19.05x40x12mm (2RS stands for the rubber seals which should be removed to allow oil to circulate properly).
