Stronger and I think it would look better. I was wrong. If I was to extend out much further, I would need bigger. I'm only going out about 9" so 1/8" is good enough! Thanks

Tacked the braces before burning it in. Welds under are terrible but will hold just fine. Need to work on my non-flat welding.
I did feel that I somewhat redeemed myself welding up the front plate for the extenstions.
cleaned up.
Now I need to clean up the axle hanger so I can weld it in so I can have a roller again. Then I need to plan out the bell-crank. I didn't plan on that earlier. Hope that works out ok.

Pic from a couple years ago.
couple current shots. I have it set halfway between 1/8 and 3/16 steel. I was welding some 1/8 to 3/16 and that made sense and seemed to work as planned. The black dot is my dialed in spot for 1/8 metal.

I ended up splitting the difference with 5 inches. Worked well for the bell crank.
I will be cleaning up the front so it does not look like a couple angle pieces sticking out.

I got half my heim joints today. The left handers! Right handers are due tomorrow weather depending.
Good thing I am changing these out. The ball joints are about to fall out on the silver rod.

Here's the scene outside the MightyRaze Garage.
Not too much, but not bad for Oklahoma. 6-8 inches with some 1'-1'4" drifts in the yard. Over by the interstate a few miles away in the open are some 5-6 foot drifts.
Yeah, I could still work, but I have the outside dogs hunkered down in the Garage. I don't want to grind and weld with animals in there. Easier to just put it on pause. Hard to believe it was 74 degrees a couple days ago.

I don't want to grind and weld with animals in there. Well, sad day. Nothing done. I will say, I no longer have a hold-up in the garage. Our grandma dog whom we have expected to pass on for about a month now finally passed this morning. She was having a hard time this morning walking to the door to go out. I picked her up to help her out and she passed in my arms. It's all good, she was an old dog. She was gotten to be an inside dog, but she was having none of that. She loved outside. I know as she got old, she hated being brought in when cold. Sometimes she would be stubborn to come in. Back on topic: I'm kind of struggling where I am going to go now with the Dirty Rat. I've been moving along pretty well with the build. I'll get the tie rods back on along with the new steering rod. With the heims, I expect near zero slop in the steering. Then I guess it is time to put the engine back on to arrange final belt alignment and purchase the belt. As long as the gov doesn't screw me over on taxes and I get my bonus from work next month. I could be done with the tractor by April sometime. I need to look at this thing and see where I would like to take this thing from here.

Well if you get done that quickly it either gives you time to keep figuring out more to do to it or maybe even a second entry!?

We lost our cat in 2020, a cat we had since a kitten she was 20 years old. We do so much for our furry friends, buy their food, pay for their medical, get them toys and lots of love and somehow they seem to give us more than we put in.
