Yeah I think Briggs used to make a little tool for doing that. You would thread the plug in then pump it to pressurize the little glass tube with the plug end threaded in. It would be cool to find one of those old tools.

My dad doesn't want his welder at his house anymore.  Wants to give it to me.  Oh heck yeah..
It's an old Craftsman 230 AMP Arc welder.  I have played with it a couple times.  It's nice.  Being a Novice at welding, it sure makes welding fun and a lot easier than my little 70 amp Arc hobby welder.  My next build will require a bit of welding, so that is part of the excitement of the next project.  Learning a little more with the welding!  My dad says I'm already way better than he is.  I dunno.  LOL  First time I used it, I made a killer bead making a quickhitch for my sears' grader/snow blade. I could not believe how much easier it was.



Sorry for the bad images, old phone back then was horrible.  Not too bad for my first try.  It's still holding up today and I have pushed a lot of snow and gravel with the blade on the mount.

Nice deal mighty! It'll be easier to use a higher amperage welder than the much lower one for heavier steel.

Most definitely. Also the rods don't use up so fast since I will be able to use a larger one. Way better penetration! If I had this for the squatch, I don't think my wheel would have fell off when it did. LOL

Yeah now you can do all the uncontrollable wheel stands you want with your builds!! Hahaha!

Alright! I would not mind playing with an 820.

I still have like 3 stock MST-206s. The two I doc locked need re-opened, forgot to grease the axles so all the ATF just leaks out, even with new axle seals.

I didn't grease my 205 and it doesn't leak?  You running keyed axle?  I bet you are leading out the keyway if so.  I never got the RTV to stay in the keyway, I jb-welded my keyway solid.

On another note, I now have a REAL welder.

Yeah full keyway axles. I put RTV under both sides of the bearings and seals, should be dry. ATF just hates me.

Weld up the keyway and file it back down?

I just spent the last two days stacking around 600 bales of hay. Now I'm gonna spend the next two being lazy, lol
