Looks like a hella good deal to me! I got Mutt for the same price!

Tires and engine are worth it. Body on it is pretty rusted out.

I'd go for it for sure! Rear tires look good, and if the engine runs that's worth over $100.

I looked at the tractor (more like spyed on in someone's back yard )that I want to buy from the owner but have not gone and asked yet, its been sitting in the same spot for YEARS . I think its a craftsman St 16 but it looks like it has rear implement attachment arms or something resembling a tree point hitch . Are these sears St 16 a good tractor for mudding builds? I have not gotten my hands on one to taken apart to find the weaknesses so any info or what I should offer on it wild be dry appreciated .

It's a solid HEAVY tractor. It would probably perform like Fearlessfront's diesel sears, or depending how you would build it, MrModified's Adventure tractor is back half sears. Not sure if you have Facebook but
Donald Crandall has a pretty sweet muddin Sears. I have an ST/16, but I am keeping mine for gardening.

Does it have rear implement attachments ? i think this one might be an st 12 because it looks to have those rear arms for garden plows or something . Whats a good price to have as my maximum limit of bargaining ? Are all the trans hi/low equipped?

Man would love a tractor that has a 3 point hitch. Gonna try something like that for the build off.

i dont know if there is any power to them , like maybe just a support for implements or something .

The first is a 3 point, they have hydraulics to raise and lower them. They are used on the giant cab tractors and stuff like that, but there are a couple of them on lawn tractors. The second is much more common for lawn tractors, they can use hydraulics, but usually use your own effort.

Being a Sears, its probably the Cat0 3pt. They came in manual and electrical lift. The second one you posted is a sleeve hitch, but theyre mostly on newer stuff.

Not really, I have a sleeve hitch manufactured by Cub Cadet in the 50s.

Well i went to ask about buying it but they had a screened in porch so i dont think they could hear my knocking , but i left a note and contact info if they want to sell it . Got a closer look at it and i think its a sears suburban 10 . This is the closest pic i could find on google , its exactly the same except it has turf tires , not aggs , but does have some huge wheel weights . Man i want this thing so bad for a build off project .

i have used a deere like that , not as nice but it has a yanmar diesel and full hydraulics for front and rear lifts and a two speed pto . if only the tranny was a manual,....
