Tire are still settling in. They are about half an inch wider since the pictures were took.

I love the x-tracs man. I have little pizza cutter ones on my Green Machine and they work great for trail riding and they look cool and aggressive.

Sad day, I have tried to get Red started all day and no luck. I was going to use him to work around the yard. Carb was leaking gas, I fixed that. Only think I have not checked yet is the plugs.

Awe, so sad. Mabye a pinched coil kill wire? i have had them wear through on where they enter the engine and are squeeshed between sheet metal.

I finally got around and did some proper troubleshooting.  Issue was with the plugs.  They were oil fouled.  Did some cleaning up and got it running again.  Not smoking, and when I had it opened up a year ago, there did not seem to be any leaking past the rings.  I do think I know the issue and it was my own cause.

Little shot of Red Hood-less.  LOL  Seems to fire right up now.  Needs a little fuel flushing and all should be good again!

Anyways... Got Red out today.  It was a little interesting.  I had a charger on it trickling since this morning when I got up.  The battery was showing good, but it wouldn't turn the beast over.  Sounds like my battery has given up cells.  Anyways, got it jumped and ran around for about 5 minutes until the sleet about made my face numb.  I was going to video, but it's battery didn't last but 30 seconds?  Guess I forgot to charge it.  Anyways I did a little ice romping.  I hit the ice and did some donuts in the road.  I was going to hit the ice on the old mudding path, but realized it was deeper than I have ever seen it.  I figured it would be well over the front tire.  With the ice to slow me down and not being dressed for mudding, i decided against it.  I returned to the back yard and was doing some donuts there when I stalled it.  The battery would not turn her over anymore.  I decided I was cold.  LOL

So.... Red is currently in the non-running category.  I am thinking a tank and bowl drain.  I fear my gas has lost it's boom.

seems odd.  How long has the tractor been sitting?  I'd drop the bowl first and see what the gas looks like in there.

I only had about a half inch in the tank and it looks like it has water in it.  I'm guessing the carb is the same.  I got some fresh boom juice tonight.  We'll see if that is what the 4 cycle ordered.  I'll pull the bowl drain and drain the tank tomorrow.

Got the water out and flushed the system. Had squatch out too trying to get it started. Neither was a go. Squatch is just a weak battery. Red, I just could not get any fire to it.




Pulled the plugs and they were wet. Cleaned them up and tried again. No go. Pulled them back out to check spark. Nothing. Unplugged the kill wire and still nothing. I had a couple plugs from the briggs in a bucket that I am putting in Kal. I put one of them on a wire and ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! Put those plugs in and VROOOOM!!!

Not sure why the plugs messed up like that, but that appears to have been the issue. I took it around back to the wet spot. It had been soaking all winter. Lets say it was a sticky mess. I buried Red down to the transaxle. LOL. No pix or video due to the phone was dead by this time.

It's good that you found the culprit. I've only had a problem spark plug once and I didn't figure it out at first either.

I knew about the bad gas, so that is what I tackled first.

That's weird. I had a spark plug problem once, was kinda weird. Never suspected it lol. But sure enough, I replaced it and ahe ran.

the spark plug is the first thing i check when ever i have a no start, it tells you alot, and its the easiest to check

Exactly. Yeah after I got rid of the bad gas, it was the first place I went for.
