I just realized how short the wheelbase looks on this thing. I think that stretch is really needed, she'll look quite a bit better.

I have some ideas that I have started, but ran out of welding rods.  I'll get some more maybe Monday?

LOL thanks... I had to put it on backward because the right way would flip it.

Lol. If i ever will have 1 seat leftover, i will gonna do the same, cuz working on the ground is much more comfortable in sitting position.

I think you're best of moving the axle forward.  Can you do that without moving the bumper and winch forward?

I have a plan that I think will allow me to move it 4 inches forward to what I think is the "Perfect" spot without much rework.  I ran out of welding rods, but now it has just been so dang hot.

This do-hickey I hope to help with my issue.  We will see.




It appears that I have aggravated an old knee injury this weekend.  It is severely slowing me down.

Well that do-hickey has now become a part of the bumper....





This will move the axle forward about 6.5-6.75 inches and lowers the front end about a 0.75-1 inch.  Front end is still on stands and shocks extended about half an inch.



Just need to extend my pivot for the monolink.

Looks good Mighty! Should solve the problem. Also I can see the difference in wheelbase length and I think it looks better now!

Thanks guys! It has been a slow go today as my knee feels like the lower part of my leg may fall off at any time. One thing about the heat outside is it helps my knee feel better.

Here is most everything back together.



Now I need to extend the monolink about 6.5-6.75 inches and reattach. I think I will just cut the ball back off and run some square tube for the extension then weld it back together. Hopefully straight.

Wow I'm really impressed with how you made new shock towers that could move the axle forward and look pretty cool at the same time.  Doesn't look hack at all.  It's looks like you planned it this way all along.  

I like the idea of extending the mono link more than moving the mount.  Easily to weld that than crawling under the tractor, cutting the mount off, moving it forward and bracing it up.

Just take your time tacking up the mono link and checking it with straight edges.  It'll be fine.

That and the new setup seems to make the bumper a little more sturdy. Definitely makes it easier to get it on and off as well as the hood. I just hope to not cause a weak point in the monolink.

I really like your new front axle . Looks Great, and should improve the handling.

A weak point? nah if you're really worried about it you could sleeve it, but I would just V the weld joint with a grinder, butt weld it, and send it!

Chopped the joint off



Welded an extension.  I did put a slight upward bend to it on purpose.



Reattached the ball.



Kal back on all 4s.



I need to make a new steering rod. I was making a new one and ripped the top of my vise off the base cracking the base in 2 pieces. I have welded it back together but had to leave before I could test it out.

I do have some give should I need to bring the axle back a half inch or so.

Looks awesome with the new wheel base Mighty!! I gotta say though, in that third picture I seriously though you had a rack and pinion installed on the front of the axle for a split second, then i realized it was just the coilovers.   Looking good!

Thanks!  I have been studying what I have yet to do and what I need to do.  It looks like I may need to add a brace for the food boards?  They look droopy in those pictures. That will be a last thing.
