Hey guys, PSA incoming. For all of us American users, now is the time to haul in scrap. With the tariffs on Chinese steel scrap is wayyy up. I got lucky and just took in a load of scrap without thinking, and couldn’t figure out why I got so much for it. I’ve been told it’s up 45%, so if you’ve been saving scrap for prices to go up, now is the time!

Hey hey!!! I am planning on taking in about half a ton today. The place is the closest nearby so they pay half of what the big city is but driving to Wichita with only half a ton isn't worth it so well see. Should be getting some metal for the snapper and muckraker hopefully.

So yesterday my neighbor called me and said, "Hey, I have a nice fresh rattlesnake for you! It's fresh for now." I thought she meant she just got it, so I drove up there, and when I asked her where it was, she pointed at a living coiled up rattler.  So I ended up doing the job with my knife.  4th rattler this year!  Biggest one I've ever gotten.  44" long.

Well. Get rid of some, get some more. No idea if it's a gt 3000 or something. 20 hp oppy, 6 speed peerless 820, swapped front tires, 23×8.50×12 rears. Engine needs some work , as in covers and wiring. Person who used it tried to make it automotive style wiring and messed it up thoroughly but who cares. Tranny rolls nicely and shifts in all gears. Also got a 930 with a cracked case (Probably from being dropped when unloading when still on a mower) and a operational spicer 6 speed. Got another set of 12 inch rims bit am swapping the tires that are on them to different rims for my buddy, as I got them from my buddy. And got a tire debeader with a intek v twin muffler for another guys project. Worked on a engine , set valve lash and cleaned carb then swapped carb and mounted it up and got it running for all these goodies. Good deal? Was working for about 5 hours and he paid for my gas to and from his house. Also took in 1400 lbs of scrap and got 100 bucks. !!! Prices have gone up !!!! Very happy about that .

No idea, for now I might just swap in a spare kohler command single and use it to clear my trails and tow stuff around the woods. I would like to get the oppy running but it is missing a bunch of stuff . Has no heat shields or blower shrouds.

Yep yep! Now I have 3 grey craftsmans . Two look almost exactly the same for hoods.

Turns put the oppy is a pressure lubed model. So that engine is staying in my possession lol. Not too bad and they have 1 inch tread depth . Swapped some atv tires onto the nifty 10 inch rims with the 4x4 bolt pattern instead of the stupid imperial bolt pattern. Now I can use them on my 1 inch and 3/4" wheel hubs on any tractor.

Good deal man, I like those tires. My dad got some Swamp Fox tires on his ATV, I kinda like those too. Apparently they were the cheapest tires the dealer sold lmao

Spent the whole day cleaning the garage. Finally unpacked about 10-12 boxes that needed unpacked. Got a bit more room to move around now.

Well my over beefing up the tranny paid off. Didn't think I could tow it but ended up handling the job nicely.
