Painted and installed the exhaust. I'll run it like this for a while. if its too loud, i'll add a dirtbike silencer I have kicking around.
Added the Main power switch to the dash.
From the left, Toggle switch -Lights, pull switch - Main power, voltmeter, ignition key, and pop up circuit breaker. Ignition operates the starter and engine kill only, main power switch controls everything else. Circuit breaker protects start system, main power switch has a fuse built on it. Red light is low oil warning light.

Sharp lookin, and nice exhaust with the flexible pipe and clamps. ( Luckily I can also get that flexible pipe here, all tho in rather large sizes ).
Going to be held up for a bit. Broke the blade on my bandsaw, won't be able to get a new one till after payday. Which means I can't cut out the ends for my fuel tanks.
So, sanding, sanding, and more sanding.

Due to space constrictions, I have to build a custom fuel system. I decided to go with twin 5" dia, x 10" tanks. They will fit under the hood, be filled from the same filler, and be connected by a 1" tube across the lower ends. The tanks will be run to a single shut off, with a line from each tank at the top end to allow for fuel slosh under accelaration to prevent starvation.
Fitted a polished aluminum checker (tread)plate tunnel cover.
And a spring loaded twist latch so I don't land on my arse

The tanks are just pieces of 5" exhaust tubing cut to 10" long I haven't cut all the ends and fittings yet. still trying to figure out the mounting brackets.
It's close gentlemen, with the fuel tanks, it's a rideable machine, even without hte bodywork.
Pulled my hernia this morning. took the afternoon off.
spent it sanding the nose piece, and drinking beer

I would be VERY surprised if it wasn't already governed to 3600. Even still, as you know, GX's and clones have a VERY user-friendly governor setpoint adjustment. Should be no problem at all.
