Photobucket is now junk...

I've been using photobucket for images and sharing images for quite a long time. Yesterday I noticed all my shared images are now replaced with you need to subscribe to share 3rd party images. BS....

I figured this day would come sometime. ATLTF's serverimg server does not work for me as my workplace blocks the site. The webpage is rather interesting without images. :-)

Anyways, I'll try to go back through my build threads and fix what I can.

I noticed that your signature was screwed up when I logged on this morning hahaha. Yeah that kinda sucks.

It may take a couple days since it is a holiday weekend, but I have a more permanent solution for the images. I'll get the build-off thread fixed first.

I saw that last night! Was wondering what the heck was goin on. I like servimg, it seems to work fine. I'm sure there's other photo hosting sites, right?

I used photobucket for a little bit... I got sick of the adds. It was ridiculous.

Yeah the adds were ridiculous. Through the phone it was not too bad.

Photobucket has a bandwidth limit. I think its like $3 mo.

So I just looked into it, and what the fug Photobucket? $400 a year to host 3rd party images? Are you trying to kill your business?

Can you get on Facebook at work? You can host images from there if the pictures security settings allow it.

Yeah, isn't that awesome.

I've been slowly going ahead and moving them to serverimg for now.

The stupid adds with sound pissed me off. No way to mute them. Oooh that was a sure fire way to make me mad.

Holy cow!  If the post counter counted edits too, I'd be near 1500 posts instead of mid 800's.  LOL

Photobucket finally sent me an email too. So basically they're going to block pics you've already had posted for years? That's stupid. There's a ton of pics in the baja sears and GTR 4 0 build threads that are probably from photobucket. What a pain. Guess I could try to re-do some of them but sounds like a nightmare to figure out.

I hear ya, I have only been a member since last September and I had nearly 300 pictures linked to photobucket.  I knew of the 3 main threads I had, which was easy to find.  Beyond that, I used the "My Posts" link on your profile menu in the upper toolbar to find the rest.  But that doesn't fix all those that people "quoted" your posts with those pictures.   It's a cluster in the works.

could be worse... I have about 300 tutorial spread across a dozen forums... pictorial tutorials no less... on everything from knifemaking to homesteading, small engines and machining, reloading and gunsmithing... you get the idea. literally thousands of pics now removed.

yeah... bad enough that I wont be fixing it... took 10 years to put all of them together, so some folks got some use out of 'em
