I bought my first house and finally have a garage. Its huge, but no heater. Kerosene heaters, electric space heaters, and propane heaters. Gotta got warm up every so often with these Buffalo winters where I am or it gets COLD

Congrats on the new home! I have to use a propane heater in my garage. There is a really good wood stove in there but the insurance issues with the VERY expensive wheelchair accessible van in there make it so I can’t use the stove. I lived in Buffalo on a consulting gig during the winter of 2000/2001. We got plenty of snow and cold that winter, I think it was record setting at the time.

Well gents I've been busy with life but still trying to get parts. I finally found a dozer blade for the sears after 5 years of looking. It's a game changer massive difference from the atv blade I mod to fit. I also came into possession of 2 snowblowers after getting 21" of snow in 12hrs I thought I would give it a try. So disappointed, best it can throw is 3ft lol maybe a pulley swap. 5" on tractor and 5" on blower both are original.

The single stage blower on my Bolens was pretty weak until I added some material to the tips of the "impellers", when they wear and leave too much of a gap your distance will suffer. I used some 1/8" steel to get it done but will be replacing it with 1/2" industrial rubber when I overhaul it in the summer, it's throwing snow over 10 feet now.

Well it's that time finally, I wanted a diesel but was never able to get my hands on one. I lie having both electric and pull starts but might have to remove the starter so I can run the stock clutch

How interesting... that 420 does seem to have a longer starter than my 389. I have about half an inch to spare. From the picture angle you have there on the 2nd shot of the engine. Looks almost like the starter is even with the pto attachment bolt holes on the side of the block.
@MightyRaze I can move the engine more to the left. But I'm thinking if I want to use the stock clutch system I might have to ditch the starter. I can move the motor forward but I want to try to keep the stock look in the front. I have few of these Sars now so I'm not worried anymore about modify it as I have one that I want to restore
