Oh ok. I guess I got lucky with my disk brake setup, it has the same caliper that was on my go kart. Can just cut new pads out of car pads rather than having to try and resurface the brake band lol.

Yeah those disk brakes on the 2300's are a pretty slick setup. I guess the ol' drum and band will be good enough though, haha _______________________________________________ "This'll either wake you up or put you to sleep forever!"- Red Green "Whatever you do you should do right, even if it's something wrong." - Hank Hill - MTD Off-Road Build - Ford LT 110 Off-Road Build - Craftsman GT 6000 Off-Road Build - Allis B-110, 710 & 716 - Wheel Horse 655 & 953 - Case 444 - Bolens Versamatic & 1668 - Cub 106 & 124 - Ford LGT 125 & 145 -

Forgot to update this yesterday..... hehe. Got a clutch and idler setup finally fabbed up after much thinking, and mocked it up with a hunk of rope: Hopefully it works, should be getting a belt today to try it out. Also put a brand new solenoid on it as the old one was dead. Now you can start 'er up with the key, so that's good. Getting closer to the frist test drive here!! _______________________________________________ "This'll either wake you up or put you to sleep forever!"- Red Green "Whatever you do you should do right, even if it's something wrong." - Hank Hill - MTD Off-Road Build - Ford LT 110 Off-Road Build - Craftsman GT 6000 Off-Road Build - Allis B-110, 710 & 716 - Wheel Horse 655 & 953 - Case 444 - Bolens Versamatic & 1668 - Cub 106 & 124 - Ford LGT 125 & 145 -

Thanks fellas, haha. I actually did get it driving today! Didn't wanna clutch at first, but once I drove it around and the belt streched out it clutched just fine! The clutch ilder hangs pretty low right now, but once we put the bigger engine pulley on it should take up some slack and I can adjust the idler up a bit. Making good progress though! Let me know what ya think!

Yeah second it a bit skeery because you just kinda gotta guess where it is and hope it's in gear , being how the shifter gate is. Haha. The John Deere's actually have a neat little 1st geat lockout thing that help tremendously.

Pretty good solution to get rid of the vari-drive. The first drive once you get an old tractor moving is so much fun.

| Couple small things today, put a new exhaust clamp on the muffler because the old one was broken: Also we got that horrible negative camber corrected: Much better to drive now, haha. Also, I threw some decent tires on the back: Nothing fancy, but they should do the trick. Also I know it looks dumb with the tiny wheels on the front, but we're just kinda working with what we got here, haha. Maybe someting soon I'll find some 16's on 8" rims to put on it at least. For now, it's just nice to have some good tires on the back. | New engine pulley time. Got a 9" pulley and a 1" bore bolt-on hub. Had to remove a bracket for the deck belt idlers, but I doubt that wouldn've ever been used again anyway. Haha. Got it all bolted up and that was pretty much as far as I got: The belt that was on it is much too short now, but a new one will be in by tomorrow morning. Hopefully more progress then! _______________________________________________ "This'll either wake you up or put you to sleep forever!"- Red Green "Whatever you do you should do right, even if it's something wrong." - Hank Hill - MTD Off-Road Build - Ford LT 110 Off-Road Build - Craftsman GT 6000 Off-Road Build - Allis B-110, 710 & 716 - Wheel Horse 655 & 953 - Case 444 - Bolens Versamatic & 1668 - Cub 106 & 124 - Ford LGT 125 & 145 - |

Is that a taper lock hub? It looks like you haven't put on the sleeve yet that locks everything down.

I have no idea, it is slotted on the end like it's supposed to be clamped but I wasn't the one who bought the pulley or hub so I couldn't tell ya. It does have a 1/4" key way slot though as you can see in the picture so I was just gonna make up some different spacers and hold it on with the crank bolt.

Haha, yeah that might've been easier. Only problem is the pulley bolts on to a three bolt hub that's keyed to the pinion shaft, so I would've had to get a pulley with the same bolt pattern. I wanted to drill a smaller pulley to bolt on but the hub is so close to the frame the trans would have to be dropped to get it to slide off. Kind of a pain, haha.

Yeah, haha. The hub for the pulley is kinda neat really, but just sucks that you can't slide it off.
