Hehe, you don't need to be 21 to legally drink here.
Hahaha.

Another good deal today! Got an MST-206 with no rust... Already had the pulley off too. I traded my red Murray's hydro for it. Only thing is that I'll have to change the shifter. It came out of a Craftsman so it has the short one. That's okay, I already have another shifter. Didn't want to pull it apart, but since I have to, I'm gonna go ahead and oil fill and vent it. Not gonna lock it though. I like how I can pull up on a rock and just sit there and smoke a flat tire until I'm on the rim.
The 19.5 HP oppy was $75. It's my brother's. His Yard Machine's Powermore engine needed about $115 worth of parts. So he's putting a BIG engine in a little tractor for the same price. Sell price will be different though... About $600 with the Powermore, but he's expecting $1000 with the oppy on it. One thing's for sure, it won't ever be low on power!

Well, I know I've used this thread a lot lately, but I have to say, water leaks suck.
Had at least 20 gallons of water in an AC/heat vent. These heaters have the thermostat reading 79/80 degrees and climbing. I'll post up the video of us cutting the air vent if y'all want me to.

I've delt with a leak myself for about 9 months that I think I finally got. Not that much water though.

Well, today was new garden tractor day again!
Oh yeah! Finally got me an open-side Ford LGT!! Been wanting one of these units for quite some time now, they're real nice looking tractors and very ruggedly built. Needs a little bit of TLC before it's running and driving, but that's nothing new, haha.
She looks pretty good sitting in the shed!

Thanks Mighty. Yeah the frame is similar to the old Tube Frame Bolens tractors, but on the Fords the tubes bend up to the back of the fenders as opposed to just being straight.
Pretty stout!

Little story of my own...
So, my rear window defroster quit working a couple weeks ago. This morning it would have been nice to have it working. Did a little research and I found that there is an issue with Impalas with mine's body style. There is a plug in the foot panel on the passenger side that has a coupler that contains the wire for the rear window defroster. It's easy to spot that wire as it is the bigger wire in the bundle. Typically Purple on one side and black on the other. The problem is, they give that wire the same connector as all the other lower gauge wires in the connector. Over time, that connector gets hot and eventually melts or burns it's way out. Easy to get to, easy to check. So I did, and guess what? That part of the connector was burnt as described. I did the same shade-tree fix as everyone else. Shop fix for this is around $600 I have seen on the internet. I had all the supplies to do the shade-tree fix so all it cost me was 15 minutes of my time. See the burnt prong in the pic?

Nice mighty. Sometimes my car tries to burn the aux systems belt when I start it. Figured out that it doesn't like having any sort of AC or heat on when she's first started. Weird. Checked the belt tension today and it wasn't bad.
Saw one of those LGT125s at an auction once. Looked to be built like a tank. Had a nice kohler on it, but the grille was bashed all to heck. Typical fiberglass.

Speaking of which, I might as well post a quick update:
It is now running and driving quite well, and so far I really like it! I have it wired just to start and run for the time being, so it will need the full re-wire soon. But either way, it's a good working ol' tractor.

I didnt really expect to see any wood work on a off road tractor forum.
people like handmade gifts, christmas is a pretty strenuous time financially, so spending a few days turning on the lathe and cutting up stuff means allot to some people....

Ive carved out a couple over the years. Earlier this year I got a wood lathe, and we are building a dedicated wood shop for them sort of projects.
Ide like to build some furniture, small table, simple chairs or benches. that would be fun.

Hey guys, got a new project some of you may be interested in!
Updates will be posted on my YouTube channel here in the near future, Cooper Boehm is my channel name. I’ll be posting more frequently on Instagram though @twinturbo_89
But I’ll post large milestones on here as I go. It’s an 89 Chevy C1500, stick shift 350 tbi, has 257k on it but I’m not too worried about that. It’ll be getting a twin turbo built LS based truck engine. Goal is 800 hp and I’m keeping the stick. Has an nv3500 in it now, and whenever it quits I’ll go to a t56. Getting lowered on QA1 coilovers for a 4 inch drop in the front and 6 inch in the rear. Currently it has American racing wheels, I’ll put some black D-hole steel wheels on it at some point.
Let me know what you guys think

Would get way better performance with a carbureted 350 with a blower on it. Money wise be about the same or less and still would be drivable on the street legally and everything inside still working. Unless you get a whole donor Vortec LS truck and would be a nightmare to transfer everything over just to get the engine running with the turbos and the dash working ok. Flashing the computer now a days seems to be almost free to do by yourself.

oh yes I know, I went north of the border for senior trip, me and about 8 guy went bar hopping when our chaperones went to bed. we were the cause of the 'new' rule that senior trips can't cross borders anymore in local school districts. I had a short and violent love affair with everclear and some random liquors that put me on my face all the way home.
