so i go under my tractor for the first time since the ride and i get greeted by half a quart of oil under the tractor still dripping, since the tractor was still muddy, i could see that it had all leaked out of my brake shaft, which means that the seal went bad, so i found a crossreferenced seal online, i couldnt get the brake drum off without a puller, which i couldnt fit in there without dropping the trans, which i really didnt want to do, but i dropped the trans, and then i realized that i should take the shifter off to look the oil, and it looked like mud water, and i probably ran it like that for 3 hours at the offroad park in 3rd high, so thats where im at now

It's nice these tractors used many automotive seals. It makes it easy to replace many of them due to this. I don't remember, but I believe I had to replace my ST/16's when I did that brake on mine. Mine was a bit oily back when I worked on mine.

The transaxle problems are completely fixed. I also installed e3s and found out there was a air fuel adjustment on my carb so I adjusted that and now I have virtually no bog during take off even in 3rd high and I have better throttle response and it used to bog or die at about 5/6 throttle and up but now it doesn’t. Overall it has alot more torque and added an extra 1 or 2 mph to the top speed

For Christmas I got a winch and a pair of atv tie rods. I had to trim them a little bit to be the right length, the winch works and is mounted. Since I have a long front bumper I was able to mount the control box behind the winch

I am planning to build my engine, I know it’s gonna be a crap ton of money but I got a secret plan. I am gonna put a cam from precision cams, arc flywheel, arc rods, port intake, port and polish exhaust, shave eyebrows, dual carbs. If anybody has opposed twin building experience I’d like to hear from you

Me and my dad might be building a tractor together and it might be a build off participant, id do this so he can have something to ride instead of just sitting in the car while I'm there, I just am trying to convince him to buy one

yes i did use it. when i backed it out of the garage yesterday to reanforce the spindles, it was making a horrible squelling sound. when I took off the front wheels, there was very little grease and only inbetween the bushings where it wasnt doing anything. I think i forgot to grease it after 2 times of being underwater for more then 5 minutes

The grease should stay on the spindles for the most part, even under water?

Even with grease, the bushings will produce heat and "thin" down the grease. Going in water is a quick quinch and will blow and wash out the grease. Dirty water will scrub it out as well.
