some pics of what I've been yackin about and my new diggs

Figured I'd show you fella's the mower I have been fixin up (calling it the zombie)

This is the first thing I fixed... welded a new tab on for the steering, it's still too short, I'll be fixin that Saturday)



then I got the original motor running for a short while, after it seized up a half hour into the mow, I did a postmortem





This is how she sits now, transplanted an oppy into it, still need some longer cables so I can locate the controls back on the dash

My in-laws have the Yard Machines version of that exact tractor. Do you have a turning radius issue with yours? Theirs from the first day I have used it, it has about a 8ft turning radius. It's horrible in both directions. Curious if you had that issue and if you fixed yours?

Outside of that it is a great machine.

Looks like your diggs has a cabin feel. Cool!

turning radius is abysmal... I will eventually do a direct steer with this mower. It improved some with the shorter tab on the spindle, but now that wheel turns TOO fast... drilling a hole right behind the stock one may improve the radius just enough to help.

LOL no one has said ANYTHING about my coffee can air cleaner... I pull a knee high panty hose over the top as a filter.... 6 for 2 bucks, and they are washable

I saw that lol. Way back when I made an air cleaner box out of a huge plastic peanut butter jar, a little piece of pipe, and an air cleaner from a predator 212. Worked well but I just went back to the stock box eventually.

New place looks good. Are those deer under the shed there?

I seemto recall you guys had some critters, did you bring any along? What about your blacksmithng tools and whatnot?

That is what I was figuring. Mods to their mower isn't in the cards. Thanks!

we brought rabbits peafowl and ducks.. all others are sold. All he smithing stuff came with except the forge... I'll make a new one here

yep... ceramic deer LOL

we DO have some fat bastage groundhogs here... 2 that are the size of a full grown weiner dog

One of these days Ill have a functioning forge build. Got a block of oak whittled out to mount the anvil to... one of these days...

have ti find a way to make it tractor related... maybe make it outta lawnmower parts LOL

I'm actually liking the idea of making the forge out of mower/car parts... could use a vehicle air pump for the blower driven by an old 3 1/2 hp briggs! brake drum set in a mower deck, push mower handles for legs, air flow controlled by choke cable and butterfly valve... LOLOL it's actually quite doable

Franken Forge!! Hahaha, that sounds like it'd be a cool project to see.
