Sorry brother... Back on topic. Watchin this thread with interest
hahaha... No worries at all.
There won't be any progress on this one 'till spring, she's mothballed for the winter. I have very limited indoor work space, and that space is taken up by 2 other projects I really gotta get off my butt and complete.

Although this project is mothballed for the winter, I just made a pretty funkadelic score that will likely change MULEII as we know it. Hello, Kubota! That's right, kiddies! MULEII be rollin' coal with this beautiful 2 cylinder, liquid-cooled Kubota!

Dual stacks?!?! Water cooled seems kinda a pain, now you need a rad. Adds to the cool factor tho.

Good question, and one of the many reasons I wanted a diesel- to experiment with alternate fuels like WVO. Should be good to go. Be great to have a trailside recovery tractor that smells like a fry truck!

I think I speak for everyone when I say it better fry stuff in that case because if it dont and I get hungry... though if you make it a recovery tractor I suggest hydraulic winch? >

A biodiesel tractor would be pretty sweet. Cheaper than buying Diesel.

Yes, yes, and yes. I'm still considering options and features for this thing, including a hydro winch. We'll see. The sick part is, is I could STILL legally put this in the build-off with this engine, it meets criteria... LOL
So get off yer duff and enter the competition! Aincha done yet?
I agree with lawren we need more old people in the comp lol

The formula is pretty simple. I have room in my garage for two projects at a time. There are two in there now. I got no room. What I DO have to do, is quit screwing around, and get to stitching THOSE two projects up, but I distract easily
Yesterday was a great example of that. Friday night I picked up a Murray RER with a blown engine (free), and when I got home it was dark. My intent was to get up yesterday morning, do my online crap, have brekkie, and unload the RER from my van. Check it out, take pics, put it away, and then get to a task that's been holding since last week. Dismount some turfs off a pair of rims, and get these Mud Lites mounted up and try to fit them on Johnny D.
But no- that derailed. WHILE doing my morning websurfing, I found the ad for the diesel. Spent some time researching it, and texting with the seller. Drive for over an hour. Check out the sellers wares and the engine, buy the engine, Spend more time talking shop with them (nice people). Drive awhile, pick up stuff for Taco dinner, drive more. Get home, drag engine into living room (I LOVE my wife) and spend a bunch of time lovingly admiring. More time spent online, researching engine. More loving admiration, dinner, etc.
Did I get the RER unloaded? Nope. Still in the van. Did I get the tires done? Nope. Bad Doc. But I got me a beautiful little diesel!

OH HELLS YES!!! It lives and breathes! I pulled the glow plugs and tested them with my battery booster pack. Good to go, so I screwed them back in. I rigged up a gravity feed test tank to it, and a return line back off the second injector. I connected my battery booster pack to the glow plugs for 30 seconds and then hit the starter... VROOOM
