Alliskid, I'll be running all goodyear tires since I save the old used ones we get from the post office. As long as they have a little tread to them. Anyways, I could mark the letters with tire chalk. They would look good for awhile anyway. On the road it would last awhile. Maybe not off road. They use light truck tires, so they have heavy duty side walls. Pretty much all recaps but I never had any issue with them before on my last truck.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions so far. Currently, my plan is to get this ready for summer 2018 and go on a cross country ATLTF.COM tour to haspin. I figured I can bring a bunch of atltf stickers and stuff with me and hand it out at places like gas stations and stuff along the way. I would imagine the paint job will attract some attention.
I admit I have been slacking on this project as I do with most of them... But at least now the bed sides are on and most of the hard stuff is figured out. I have the gas tank hooked up and the truck runs again. Just have to get it back in the garage and finish it up. I'll keep everyone posted.
Not much progress on the truck the last year or more. Leaning towards listing the truck for sale. Anyone want a budget off road machine for $700ish? Needs the rear wheel seals and rear brakes, Install the seats and more or less good to roll. Runs and drives good.
You’re so close, I think you can finish it. I’d love to see it at haspin at least one year. Maybe use it as your permanent tow rig since you can’t seem to find one haha

Thanks. Yeah I might keep it. It is pretty close to being ready to roll. Probably a couple of hard weekends would get the annoying stuff out of the way. Darn you guys!
Just been on the fence about it, can't seem to get back to it lol.
Just to make it a bit more difficult to decide, I'd like to add that I also think you should keep the ol' race truck around.
It'd be awesome to see it hit some trails and do some advertising one of these days!
