| Ohhhhhhhhh the bed. Yeah it would be a nightmare to separate those sections. That's why I just cut them off. I'd just try a regular bit, maybe a couple sizes larger than the spot. Center punch them in the middle to make it easier. They're a pain though, leaves an edge sometimes. Once you do some, pry a bit to see where is still attached. | |

| Weld is much harder than the steel itself. Tough to grind through, drill through, or cut through. | |

| Only spot welds I have ever really needed to mess with was on the bottom of those refrigerant cans I used for the submarine model. There is a ring on bottom so the can can sit flat on the ground, has 3 spot welds. | |

| Behind the scenes at the documentary filming operation... Show producer and ATLTF administrator Doug Fackler takes an important phone call... Hole in passenger floor mostly patched up. Just can't pick up a hand crafted patch panel like this at the store...custom fit. | |

| Nah he was really on the phone. Interior completely stripped out now except for the dash, once the welding is done on the inside, can start on finding some new seats and bolting in the 5 point harnesses. Also probably going to need some dome lights and a switch panel for all the extra lights everywhere. Maybe take out the junk radio and put the cb in the dash, not sure yet. | |

| Man, I haven't used my old CB since High School! It's how we communicated with each other and where we were during lunch. Some day, I will have a better welder myself and actually know how to use it well. :-) ps... back before cell phones started taking off. | |

| I have a cheap cb in my jeep, so I figured if both the jeep and the ATLTF S10 were gonna go off road or on a trip at the same time, it would make communicating pretty nice. Plus it just looks high tech to have an antenna on the truck. | |

| Had the truck parked out front while moving other cars around, so got some better pics of it in the day light. Rear shocks removed for now, they were rusted out. Crate for a seat until the super hard plastic cheapo jegs seats that I ordered get here, even though doug fackler told me not to get them because they aren't padded... Also have a window net coming. | |

| The Jegs seats or the crate lol. Really rough idea of various color and lettering options. Of course you could do a bunch of different stuff and get fancy with the lettering. Just hard for me to draw it on the computer because I don't know what I'm doing and don't have a fancy program. Could put the number on the door instead of having a number plate and only have ATLTF.COM over the rear wheel instead of where it is now. I the pictured option would make the most sense to people so it's visible and also explains what the website is. I personally like the orange with black letters. The actual truck of course won't be so plain looking, with the added stickers ect. Feel free to make suggestions or even draw up your own idea. | |

| Nice! That truck looks a lot better than mine, what kind of program does that come from? The military theme looks cool but I think I'd like to stay with brighter colors. The orange and blue is pretty neat and the red looks pretty good too. Some kind of two tone or striped paint job might be the way to go I think. Having all the letters across the bed sides doesn't look too bad, we'll have to see if we decide to put the number on the door or on a separate panel. | |

| Heyy those look pretty good! I don't think the writing should go over the color transition though. it makes it kind of hard to read. the way Mightyraze had it looked good with it on the bed where you could read it. I assume it'll be plastered in "doc locked and ready to rock" "ATLTF.COM" and similar stickers? | |

| Thanks mightyraze, came out good. As for the stickers, don't know about plastered but it'll have some atltf stickers definitely. Probably have a large grouping of stickers near the front wheel and maybe near the back wheel also, like a stock car ect.
I ordered drivers door hinge pins and bushings today, need to fix that next. The door is sagged down a bit and it's getting annoying to shut it.

I guess its too late if you ordered them, but could you have taken a drill bit a size or 2 larger than the stock pin and drilled em out and used some grade 8 bolts?

| Nice mightyraze. Beal, the door pins are I guess hardened steel, but pressed into the hinge brackets are bronze bushings. Pin comes with 2 bushings in a "kit", about $5 each, so $10 does the drivers door. Not so bad. I think steel on steel might wear kind of fast. Hopefully I have the right ones, I didn't check to make sure yet. Window net came in the mail! With the seats I ordered, shipping was going to be $10 and jegs website said spend another $15 to get free shipping on the order. So I ordered the $17 something window net, even though I didn't need it. Basically saved $2 something and got a free net. Top and bottom are just a sewn in loop, so I need to make some rods that slide through and somehow attach it to the door since the door still opens and closes and there's no roll cage to hook to. Figure something out I guess. | |
