Add subforum under Tractor Project Builds for Accessories/ Implements/ Trailers?

I had thought of this the other day while working on my video, but we dont have a spot specifically for stuff that we build for our tractors. We have subforums for tractor build types, and a spot for off-topic, but no set in stone spot for things that we build for our rigs.

I am proposing the creation of a new subforum for just that. Things like homemade trailers (for your tractor, not road legal trailers or fullsize) or maybe implements or attatchments that you make for your rig that are made to be removed easily.

Is this something you guys would use?

It would be cool to see some home-brew attachments.

I plan to put a plow on NellyBelle, and I'm always hauling stuff in my trailer.

Yeah, I could move my little suspension trailer in to that section. I'd love to see what others have made or will make for their rigs as well.

I voted yes, but not sure how much traction it will get?  If it got a lot, man the goods it would hold.

Like plows and bumpers too?

I built a trailer for mutt, I'd post that in there.

Plows, yes. Bumpers, no. That should go into your build thread or in a separate thread in General.

What would be defined as an Accessory?

I just think that people will just post their accessories in their build topic to keep it active.

Stuff not permanently used on your tractor. Stuff like trailers built for offroading specifically (like my cargo trailer), or implements that you make like snowplows or stuff to mount onto 3pt hardware.

Why not both? You could still post updates to accentuate your thread, but if you make something that isnt directly reliant to your tractor then where does it go? Somewhere else.

Take my current build (which has yet to be posted), which is [currently] a snowplow made from a 60gal air compressor tank. I could post about it in my build thread for the machine it is going on, but what if some point down the road somebody wants to know how I did it and wants to know more. It could possibly be buried under 10 pages of stuff unrelated to it specifically, making it harder to link, and it could be interrupted by other build progress.

I think that is a hole we have not filled yet. You said it would be something that's not always on the tractor. Would a sleeve hitch count? I plan to always keep it on, but the tractor it's going on is a dedicated mower, and it doesn't have a build thread.

I don't know if the sleeve hitch itself would count as it would be like a bumper. Typically always attached. I have the sleeve hitch for the Murray I am building in the build-off. I may try to figure something out there to include it.

I think it would be fine, so long the thread is just on the build of the hitch and not of anything else but the hitch build.
