I've been using mine too, but not much is sinking in right now.

I just noticed everyone that participated in the buildoff last year still has grey names lol

You want to be removed from the old group?  Not sure if we need it anymore.

I wasn't sure if the idea was to keep it like a badge so you get a different color every time you enter or just to have it grey and reset them every buildoff. I suppose the first makes more sense. Although sooner or later you run out of colors lol. Doesn't matter to me if you remove me from it.

Also there's still an announcement that says "2019 buildoff coming soon"

I feel like I'm pointing out more issues than what is considered acceptable, sorry folks

So off and on Ive looked for a weld in gas cap, never really found what I wanted, and most were fancy aluminum.

Searched again today, and low and behold found this one on ebay for $18




Its a bit thinner than id like, but it looks like it should work.

Now I need to order... 4 of them...

You can cut off the fill neck of a power steering pump (GM Saginaw pump). Looks to be the same. I used them a couple of times. Thick enough to weld too. For the gas cap, you can use the power steering cap.

But thats got a flying saucer cap!

@MightyRaze To answer your question in my Lt160 thread about fun in the snow, the answer is yes but not really with the LT160.  I just wanted to take a nice picture of the JD, drive it around to make sure all systems go and recheck the oil in it.  I had more fun with Ol' Red going in circles around my house, drifting around a corner that has negative banking and doing a little bit of hill climb practice trying to climb a steep section of my yard that was piled up with snow.  I should have set up a camera on a tripod but oh well.  I did take my freshly rebuilt Big Red over to my friends house so we could pull a sled behind it in his yard.  His 7 year old daughter loved it and was laughing the whole time.  I had to get on the sled too of course followed by the Husky.


By the way, Thanks a lot for putting me up in the header. My rigs haven't won any contest but I strive to build quality machines that everyone can appreciate (and be jealous of lol).

I pulled this off my parts briggs horizontal shaft engine. It would seem it will fit the newer oppy flywheels too... hmmmm
