Curious what others have done to cure oil blowing out the PCV vent. Model 28 briggs OHV, ungoverned. I'm aware why it's doing it, and have already opened the drain holes, and added 2, into the inner PCV cover. No such luck, next resort may just be a catch-can. Looking for help to remedy this before adding a oil catch can. ***EDIT*** -Should mention, engines runs great, pulls hard and lots of power. Dosent consume oil. Only blows oil out the PCV while bagging the snot out of it. Thanks

If the oil level is good (not overfilled) then the only proper way to solve it is new piston rings or possibly valve guides unfortunately, a catch can is merely a band aid but it works.
It could just be a head gasket, these OHVs are bad about that. It’s an afternoon job to do rings and a head gasket in these things though, and they are cheap.
Just a leak down test would tell you if you had a bad head gasket. Even just put a rubber tip air nozzle up to the spark plug hole on TDC of the compression stroke and you’ll probably hear it.
Thanks for the input guys, appreciate it! Unfortunately locally , a set of standard sized rings are around 100-110$ CA lol. Online, about 75. If anyone has a link or knows of a site with some realistic prices for rings, that would be great. Thanks again!

I found them for my 28 on Amazon and eBay for $60-65 with shipping but could differ from yours. I definitely wouldn't replace them until you know for sure as it's not just the price of the rings but you'll need a new head gasket and sump gasket set too, a full engine kit with seals will set you back $60-70 Canuck bucks if you do the right thing and get an actual B&S kit which I personally do.
You could probably get away with a no-name head gasket and intake gaskets and the like. Top shelf aftermarket like Stens is good too. I’d be wary of “eBay specials” for the sump gasket though, as that can affect end play.
