Other planned parts

Look out AllisKidD21 and biggasmowers! Looks like someone else is cooking up some sweet off road suspension plans. mightyraze, I know you're using those coil overs. Are you going to use those upper and lower control arms too? A mower with independent front suspension would be quite the contender in the contest.

I originally thought independent, but decided another route.

Independent is great for a trail bombing rig. The Twin I-Beam on my little Ford soaks up bumps like a dream, much better than a solid axle setup. But a solid axle is better for flexing and crawling.

Those are some beefy coil overs for sure! the weight limit on those must be pretty high, so could be a stiff ride

So.... I seen another 2300 peerless on FB, today and looking at it gave me the realization that I could turn my hubs around to get more rear stance if I wanted.

That's a good idea Mighty.  It looks like you could gain another 4 inches of track width doing that.

You should definitely try that.

Even though I haven't murdered a rim in a while I still wish I had some hubs...

Actually it just occurred to me that if I just get some atv rims I could just make hubs in machine tool. Hmmmmm...

Rims almost done..  Also, I ran a test piece for my color for the build and that turned out great.  I am pretty much ready for this thing.  I do need a couple pulleys and a few pieces of metal tube.

Sweet. Have you ever used onlinemetals.com? They have pretty reasonable prices and you can buy small pieces too. I buy stainless pieces I need for work from there a lot because it's so convenient.

Fixed my footrest bracket.  Starting to get a little handy with the ole welder.





Also mounted those Badlands... Good gosh they are HUGE!  Here is some comparison shots.  Regular 12" garden tractor wheel.  Then Red's massive rear tires look TINY next to them.






Only other thing I can think of is getting those other tires off the wheeler frame for this build.

Got the quad tires off and uh..... they are in worse shape than I though.  Hmm..... I will need to come up with a replacement.  They were dry checked pretty bad.

Side project to get me through till build off next week.  Rewelding some bad welds I had on this 3pt adapter for my tiller for the tractor.  



Also, I found a spare front axle in my scrap pile.  YAY.

Its a wide body front axle, eww. oh well should work i guess if you dont mind the plastic steering spindle bushings
